Hey Guys,

I'm back with yet another discussion of the week... The important thing
that happened last week in ADHM was the entry of Pawan Shankar (who
plays Rustys love interest)... Other than that, it was pretty much a drag of
biji not accepting Rusty, and Baoji showing so much love for his
grandchild...

This week, lets' discuss about biji and baoji's behaviour towards Rusty...
Both are her grandparents but why do we see such a big difference
between them... Baoji is ready to accept his grandaughter with open arms
but Biji is not ready to accept her at all...

Last week, when we discussed about Madhura's stubbornness, many of
you said that it is justified and she is stubborn for the sake of her own
children... But why does Biji have to be so stubborn? Alright, she made a
promise to her mother in law about keeping the values intact but when
baoji is ready to accept Rusty what is her problem? Don't you think if biji
wanted she could find Rusty a place in her house and can make everyone
understand her importance as a daughter of the house... After all,
everyone respects biji's decisions? Could there be any other reason for
biji's behavour? Also, it is not Randir's wife that she has to accept, it's his
daughter? It doesn't make sense not to accept your own granddaughter...

If she did accept Rusty into her family, then it would mean that she is breaking the tradition that the family had been upholding for many years/generations. If she can defy this tradition, won't anybody else in her family be triggered to do the same and defy the tradition too? I think that is what Biji is forecasting if she does accept Rusty. I think she fears about what society might say if she accepts a "foreigner-born-to-an-angrezi" into her house.

It might be right but think in all this what was Rusty's fault, she is as egar as any child would be to find out where her roots come from.I think sometimes we get so carried away by how it suppose to be then what matters the most.Rusty deserves the chance to get to know her family, she is kind sweet girl and she should be accepted regardless of all the differences.with open arms and open heart.
