It's funny because its so accurate.

Oh Mausam, why couldn't you be better. Disappointed me SO much but I enjoyed it cause of Sonam-Shahid

Umm, can someone tell me what happened in the climax? I keep hearing everywhere that was the most horrendous part of the movie, and I have no intention now to watch the movie after the bad reviews. But I'm curious about that particular scene...

^You should see the film...there are lovely moments and beautiful scenes...and first half is enjoyable...it's worth a watch for Sonam and Shahid's performance and camera work!

The ending...it was OTT dramatic and illogical...when it was trying to leave us with a profound thought that we all lose something during conflicts/war/terrorism- whether you are Hindu, Muslim, a baby or an animal with no religion!

*SPOILER*
You have to see it to understand LOL...but I can tell you there was a riot, fire, a crying baby on a ferris wheel and two miracles: a white horse that sticks around while the fire was blazing away and Shahid's paralyzed arm starts to function! There are many ways the thought could have been expressed without the OTT ending...sigh.
*SPOILER*

The worst part is the riot starts off so well...it really grips you...there is a great scene between Sonam & Shahid during the riots...and then...

Now that I think about it more...throughout the movie it was expressed that people whehter Hindu or Muslim get affected by acts of terrorism (Aayat is Mulsim from Kashmir and Anupam Kher a Kashmiri Pandit etc.). Why the need to hammer this in the end!! In the end I should have just felt good that Shahid & Sonam were reunited...I should have felt positive about love even in times of conflict...

The beginning part of the film was excellent! The entire Punjab section was just beautifully thought, written, directed and acted! But once Harry and Ayat get seperated (for the first time), the story suddenly takes a 180 degrees turn and then its just all over the place! The first hour of the film seems to be a labour of love and a lot of thought has been put into it, afterwards, it seems like Pankaj Kapoor just sat back on his director's chair and gave the reigns to someone else! (Shahid?)
One gets a feeling that somewhere down the line, the asthetic appeal of the film scared the producers and they decided to make it commerical! And even someone as creative and talented as Pankaj Kapoor fell for the idea and from what was supposed to be a perfectly sweet and touching love story, the film turned into a showcase for Shahid Kapoor!
The climax all but proves the point, that the makers of the film were trying just too hard to give a commerical element to the film! It just ended up making the whole thing look so unintentionally hilarious!😆
The idea of connecting world events / changing seasons to the story of two people sounds wonderful on paper...infact, there have been many bestselling books that have been written along those lines. But to translate that idea into a film required something else! And that something else was certainly missing from Mausam.
Though, I have to say that both Shahid and Sonam did great justice to their roles! I could not find any fault with their acting! 👏
It was the script and the direction which was the biggest culprit and crashed the entire film!
Also, the makers of the film should not have promoted Mausam as being an 'Epic' love story! That's upon the audience to decide! Not the Producers of the film!😆
PS: The oddest part of the film was that the romance, which was at the core of the story, was so subtle...but everything else was so OTT!😕

Pankuj kapoor is a great actor...so i can't fully believe he can make a MESS of his movie like this...of course it was Shahid;s baba refernce to make the climax to prove how macho he really is, 🤪which unfortunately guys dont consider him😆

its the same blunder how BETA roshan interferred too much in the KITES script and it got actually got revised becoz of him...and we saw the result...

VIGIL IDIOT's review is funny but he is also frustrated to see such a damn film and his frustration could be seen in the entire review😆

WOW...now suddenly Shahid has become the script writer and director too...😛 ...some folks not able to digest Pankaj's blunder...need a convenient scapegoat...🥱

I may be the only person who thinks this but I don't think the ending was as horrendous as ppl keep claiming...I've seen far more OTT and ridiculous stuff in other movies most notably the endless Southie remakes that are being made in B-town these days.

Shahid's arm was being shown to improve grip-wise since a while...why does everyone forget that one detail when it comes to the ending? His arm didn't suddenly recover enough to start beating up a bunch of random gundas...he only managed to grip the child as it was falling. And why can't the horse stick around? It was just used for symbolism. It wasn't like the horse came racing through the fire, rescued Shahid-Sonam and then rode off into the rainbows, did it?
