~Discussion of the Week~May 22-25, 2006~

Hello TKTG members!

This is our second discussion of the week! Like I told you guys, I'll be posting this every Friday. This week discussion focuses on the episodes of May 22, 2006 through May 25, 2006. I'll write some of the main points dealing with the episodes, and it's up to you guys to make comments! Do tell me if I missed an important point! This week's episodes were quiet good and anticipating.

Soniya Agarwal's surprise for bapuji, as she came to take the interview before Monday.

Soniya Agarwal mortified by the family members; Sneha astounding the family members with her interview.

Bapuji credits Pranav and not sneha for her superb acknowledgement.

Bapuji's business rivalry between Atul Mehta and their resistance over the Jamnagar land.

Bhavna and Jyoti's realization of the lack of self-respect in the house.

Sneha decides to take a stand and not stay quiet anymore.

Jyoti's father getting involved in proposal of Jamnagar land with Bapuji and Atul Mehta.

Looking at these points, I have come up with some discussion questions. So here are the questions:

1- As some of you watched the episodes or either read the updates! My question is why you think Bapuji looked really calm before and during the interview of Sneha. Everyone looked flabbergasted when sneha came outside to give her interview, except bapuji and Do you think he was tranquil because he actually trusted sneha or was there some other reason?

2- Did Sneha do the right thing by not going against her family and went against her principles by giving the fake consultation in the interview? What stride might sneha take later on and what does she meant by "she won't stay quite to any further extent?" What future contradictions this statement can bring in Sneha's life?

3- Do you think Jyoti's father will agree to Bapuji's proposal or he wouldn't? If he does agree, what might happen in the future and if he doesn't, how this will affect Jyoti's life? Would Bapuji be iniquitous to her and Will Sneha stand up for Jyoti?

I actually liked this week's epi, I think the show is getting interesting now esp the fact that the other bahus have started to realize that they have no self-respect in that house, in a way thats the first victory of sneha.

I think Sneha did the ryte thing by not going against the family becoz then it would have created more probz. Its better if she lets everyone think that she is changing herself wen in a way she is trying to change the whole family

i think he knows sneha cannot say bad things about him to outsiders.i think she did right thing not saying aganist her family.she has to fight aganist mansukh at home .she doesnot want to tell bad things about her father-in-law in society.i donot whats goiong to happen with proposal thing but i am sure sneha will stand up for jyoti 😕

Nice topic Khoo....I think Bapuji was looking calm becuase he thought that Pranav has talked to sneha regarding this..& I think Sneha did the right thing by not going against the family...she was right ke ghar ki baaten ghar me hi rahe to achhi...She will stand up against bapuji....& I think jyoti's dad will say no to bapuji...up on this Sneha will take side of jyoti

okay here are my response to my own questions!! lolzz!!

1. For some reason, i think bapuji was really confident about sneha not saying anything against him. He might have thought that pranav would've already spoken to sneha on the topic of this interview. He might not want to show any emotions infront of soniya and that's why he was peacful upon himself, and preety much handle the situation really well. As far as trust is concerned, bapuji didn't trust sneha at all. He actually didn't care what sneha said about him, what he only cared was that he thinks pranav was to be given the credit. Because sneha is new, and what ever has been going on in the house upon her arrival, there is no room for bapuji to trust sneha, but this time he think that sneha is started to adjust in the family. Not only him, but everyone in the house thinks that she is started to adjust, and i'm not to sure about that.

2. For the moment i think she did the right thing by not going against her family, because there are other ways to mend bapuji's way. And sneha did the right thing by not spreading the double-standard issue of bapuji publicly. It is a family matter, so it's better it stays in the family. To me, she actually didn't went against her priciples even if she had to lie of what she said about bapuji, because by doing this, she actually proved herself to be mature and understanding of the family values. When sneha mentioned that she won't stay quiet anymore, she was actually talking about following her principles, and do what she is right, which she has always done all her life. If she sees things are very wrong in the house, she won't stay quiet and not suffer like other women are suffering. Other women very well show their emotions for their mistreatment accept Daya, because she is bapuji's wife, but i'm preety sure that even she do want her self-respect and dignity. This behavior of sneha, might lead to the women resentment against the men of the house, but if this issue is raised, then we would all like to see the men's reaction, which ofcourse wouldn't be a good one.

3. To tell you the truth, Jyoti's father will agree to bapuji's proposal, only to protect jyoti's happy marriage, which is not so happy at all, but on this issue, jyoti might provoke because it is the matter of her father's reputation. No woman would want their father's dignity and sincerity to be played with like that. This might tick jyoti off later, because she wouldn't want her father to give up his sincerity, just to secure her future. I see many problems in the future, and this might lead to a mahabharat in the house.lolzzz!! If something like this happens, i'm sure that sneha will take jyoti's side.

i am a little bit confused about storyline with Jyoti's father, but I agree Khoo that somehow the future happenings will really upset Jyoti. Her husband is also appearing to be a jerk about the matter and not only that he is hiding things from her. A real no no.

Sneha and Pranav have a really tough road ahead of them. Sorry for stating the obvious, but I just want to say that hopefully their relationship doesn't get all messed up for stupid reasons like it does in Kekta serials. 🤢

I have seen a couple of posts about it being a good thing that Sneha didn't let the media know about Bapuji being such a jerk to the women of the house. I agree and Sneha is going to have to fight on her own. I just hope that she doesn't loose Pranav in the fight.

ya i was thinking that!! if sneha is gonna stand up, then this might get pranav stuck in the middle, but sometimes i feel that he is a little diff. from his brothers!! He might not take either sides, and i think if something does happen in the future, then sneha might ask him not to take either side i guess! but man it'll be so weird though! it's like a civil war in the house!!
