hey guys! how r u all doing?
For the love of God
They may be superheroes on screen but they draw strength from the power above. Ram Kamal Mukherjee finds out about Bollywood stars' favourite religious destinations
Tusshar Kapoor
Iam not a very religious person, but I make it a point to sit with my dad when he organises any hawan or puja at home. We have a small temple of Ambe Mata inside the Balaji Telefilms office, so whenever I am there, I stop by for aarti.
Esha Deol
Since my childhood, I have seen my mom (Hema Malini) worshipping Lord Krishna. We visit Hare Rama Hare Krishna temple in Juhu. We go for the Rath yatra and also perform during Janmasthami celebrations. Every morning I pray to Lord Krishna before I start work. If I don't, I feel that something will go wrong.
Celina Jaitley
I go to the Tirupati temple. It's one place which gives me positive vibes. People talk a lot about the queues and other problems, but I think one should not crib when it comes to temples. We all face hurdles in our daily lives, then why complain when it comes to a temple? I also visit Mount Mary church.
Perizaad
I go to Mount Mary church, Bandra and stand in front of Mother Mary. She is the only power I believe in. I don't light any candles or incense sticks. I just concentrate on praying... I close my eyes and feel peaceful. It soothes my soul and makes me feel that I am blessed.
Sushmita Sen
I am a firm believer of Shakti. I have most of the deities in my puja room. But when I am in Kolkata, I try and visit Dakhineshwar and Kalighat. These are the shakti sthal that give me power. I am fond of Durga ma also and try to fast during navarati.
Vidya Balan
I am a firm believer of Shirdi Sai Baba and visit Shirdi often. I also visit a local Sai Mandir in Chembur. Earlier I used to fast on Thursdays and Fridays for Sai Baba and Santoshi Ma, but due to a health problem I stopped fasting. I pray every day, and whenever I get possible I drive to Shirdi.
Vivek Oberoi
I rather not talk about my religious inclination. I believe in karma and whenever I get a chance I visit temples all over India. I would like to cover all the popular temples and shrines in our country. I like to visit Sabrimala once in a year. It's a difficult journey, but I make it a point to take out time from my schedule. It's the bhakti that gives me strength. I like people who are religious and respect the Almighty. I get my strength from God and will never be able to think my existence without His blessings.
Rani Mukherji
I am a God-fearing person. Even my aunt (actress Debasree Roy) is a firm believer of Sai Baba. Even while travelling, she would carry Giridhari Gopal and Guruji's photograph and draws strength from them. I am not a fanatic, but whenever I get a chance I visit Siddhivinayak Mandir and Kali Mandir in Goregaon.
Akshay Kumar
I prefer to visit a local Shiv Temple at Lokhandwala. I don't want to talk about it as I feel that one should keep one's religious preferences personal instead of making them public. (I am also a strong believer of Ma Sherawali and have visited Vaishno Devi many times.)
