Gaurav and Karan are as much of a couple than any straight couples seen on the screen. I m so glad that this path-breaking story has been introduced on Indian television. I maybe the only one, but I m only watching this show for Gaurav and Karan's love story. I m hoping they wont end the story. In a strange sort of way their love story reminds me of DDLJ.. tryign to convince their families and society of their true love.

Gaurav and Karan truly love each other and hope they remain as a couple and end up together. I hope the writers of Maryada will keep handling this sensitive topic very carefully and not make any stupid mistakes. Loving the romance between Gaurav and Karan!! Keep going...

Gaurav and Karan are the true soap couple of Maryada. I am pleasantly surprised at how well this couple has been portrayed. Like I said before, I've seen American soaps try to handle gay relationships but with lesser results, whether it be strength of story, relationship, or the will of the writers to focus on the gay relationship(s).

Their parting was very well done. And that hug. It was emotional and said so much about their relationship. What was even more striking is exactly what was implied with that hug and why Karan pushed Gaurav off. That's well done not just in an Indian context but in general.

And then there's the grand love aspect. They are the ones who will have all these major obstacles in their path. The way all the big couples have stuff to overcome--family enmity being the biggest one. Once Roshni Devi starts her revenge, the Karan-Gaurav track takes on a whole lot of other complexities and twists.

It's on now.

I agree this sacrificiing spree is annoying.. Gaurav and Karan need to fight for themselves... their love seems so pure.. their romantic moments, break up.. so emotional... hopefully they will give up sacrificing and actually fight for happiness this time... will be great!

The fight to keep their relationship becomes meaningful when Gaurav happens to be as committed as Karan. Gaurav had tried it before to end their relationship for various reasons. Karan doesn't deserve this dumping business whenever Gaurav is in trouble. I do understand what it takes or how it feels when your partner is not committed. I appreciate that parting proposal came from Karan this time.

I think gay couples already feel so much pressure from the society and many other factors that they have to put up with so there will be tension but then for gaurav there is even more because his mom forced him to marry a girl and now that girl does not want to leave him so it is problems times 2 for gaurav and i guess that is the reason that he is not as committed as karan.

How convenient? Anyway, it's a script. However, Gaurav should be committed to one person, instead of swinging like a pendulum.

No i totally agree with you guys. He should definitly be committed to karan, it is not fair to karan to be ready to face any problem for gaurav. Karan is so in love that he does not care about what society thinks of him. I was saying that those could be gaurav's reasoning although he should forget abt everything and give karan what he truly deserves.
