When a person is shown facing hurdles, it does not mean that , people who support her( or like what she is doing) till then ,will leave her! DS is an exception..There are lot more better people like Bhairon, Shyam..etc who continue to support her because what she is doing is the right thingš
asru -- i am a strong believer in the adage 'actions speak louder than words'. i believe that bhairon and shyam will support her ...yes... but only to a certain extent...in terms of lipservice. Nobody, I repeat, Nobody will go against either maasaa or madan singh respectively because they still live in their households and are dependent on maasaa or madan singh respectively.
Even when gauri was in the household, the family supported anandi, but nobody took a bold enough stand to leave the house along with anandi as a mark of solidarity. When maasaa did the kuldevi puja -- nobody stopped the puja from happening -- they sat through the pooja and did all the rituals -- it is only towards the fag end that bhairon got up and sumitra and basant and gehna followed suit and did not give customary aashirwaad.
If they genuinely disagreed with maasaa - they should all have packed their bags, gone to another haveli or taken a house on rent and lived with anandi and spared her the agony of watching J and G prancing like two peacocks in front of anandis eyes.
If I were bhairon and I were put in that situation, and I was faced with a situation like that where i wanted to support my innocent daughter-in-law over my naalayak son, I would have told my mother -- fine stay here with jagya. the rest of us will leave. when the house is empty, and J and G leave, call us back.
The same will be for shyam -- he will support anandi to a level where he can still lead a comfortable life. After that, if anandi is thrown out by dadisa -- i doubt he will be able to offer anandi a place to stay in his home since madan singh will veto it.
and the singhs will not go against maasaa either.
Then anandi will be on the street outside the haveli.
Just pretty words of "anandi hum tumhare saath hain" dont mean anything when faced with the day to day life activities.
The proof is in the pudding. I am yet to see bhairon take a stand against maasaa for anandi wherein it pushes beyond his own comfort zone.
