I might ramble a bit here ... bear with me 😆
Let's take a look at Khushi POV view here ... based on Sush's first post. When Khushi entered RM, she entered under duress. Her job attempts had failed, her sweet shop attempts had failed, her babuji's shop was under threat, she was desperate for work, but she would probably have refused and tried something else, if it hadn't been for Anjali blackmailing her with the threat of the contract and the one lakh, to come and work at the RM. So she comes, already against her will, and then gets thrown out speedily, and then recalled in the most insulting way possible by ASR ... and she has to swallow that insult because she has no other choice ... not for job, but because of that wretched one lakh. Even though Anjali apologises later for using that, but by then she has taken the money from ASR ... so she is bound.
Her thoughts towards ASR at this point? Definitely nothing kind for sure ... bordering on hate, so she doesn't want to see his face. Okay, she sees his soft side towards his sister ... and knows that's why he called her back ... so fine, the guy loves his sister, big deal, everyone loves their family, that doesn't detract from the fact that he hasbeen insulting to her from the word go, and has continued to be, mostly without reason.
The first time she really does think differently about him is after the temple with the little girl ... because he was kind to someone other than his sister also ... but that is just softening his Rakshas image in her mind ... ok, he's no longer rakshas, maybe but he's still arrogant as hell, and bothered about aukat and haisiyat etc ... and he never misses an opportunity to tell her so.
So devi maiyya's isharas are all put to the side ... how can she even think about them, because she herself knows very well that they come from two very different worlds ... and he keeps telling her so!
But the first time the haisiyat part is moot is when he apologises about her parents ... she didn't expect that, she even threw it at his face ... that you can't ever apologise to me ... but their shared orphan status is the first equaliser ... the first time when status doesn't matter between them, because the pain is bigger than that. And yes, Khushi does soften instantly, her nature being the forgive and forget type ... it makes a huge difference to her that he could actually bring himself to apologise to her ... and it changes him in her eyes ... not about the attraction here, but adding from the temple scene ... he is becoming more human and he might even have some niceness in him 😛 And it does lessen her fear of him ... after that apology, she is no longer scared and trying to avoid him all the time ... in fact, after the La fiasco, she seeks him out twice herself ... first to give the letter, and then to the office to tell him about La's going.
So her feelings here are not about herself at all ... ASR has changed in her eyes ... She sees that La is upset about the breakup, but saying bravely that it's over ... she sees ASR doing what she thinks is the same thing ... covering up his feelings yet again ... which she has now realised that he does do. And maybe when he talks about people leaving and moving on, she interprets that as his regret that La has left ... because as she says, by saying it's over, doesn't mean it's actually over.
Which makes her more and more determined to give it one last try ... because in her mind, he would not have brought La to his house if he had not been serious about her ... she does NOT understand casual live in relationships - plus her own guilt about her role in their breakup makes her feel she has to try to 'fix' things somehow ...
As for her attraction towards him ... I think it is there, but she hasn't recognised it yet for what it is ... being young, naive and reared to believe in love and marriage as being synonymous ... I think she simply doesn't understand her own feelings yet, as to why she is so keen to fix things for Arnav ... La, yes, La has become a friend, but why Arnav, when he has barely started being nice to her ...
Oops, I did ramble ... did I make any sense at all? 😛
fj08, ashvez ... I agree, I don't think Arnav would get married to La just for Khushi or her tears ... that would be lame!!! He might just make an agreement with La ... let's go back to status quo, and see where that takes us ... but keep it from his family, and that includes Khushi ... or make an agreement with La to pretend an engagement ... or something like that ... am running out of ideas here! 😆
And now that La is back, I again hope she will help Khushi get another job or help in a makeover of sorts ...
