PARTHA GHOSH, Kolkata
Partha finished his schooling from Mitra Institution and his graduation with Chemistry honors from the Ram Krishna Mission. Instead of taking up the family business of manufacturing iron water tanks, Partha wanted to join the National School for Fashion Technology (NIFT) to study commercial design. As fate would have it, he wound up doing neither. After a chance meeting with the owner of Transasia, Partha joined the shipping company as a management trainee for a month.

He's currently the Sales Manager, Eastern Region, of TransAsia a shipping company

IDEA:
Partha's idea is to sell good mineral water in small cups on a mass scale. In most places in India, one easily finds bottles of mineral water, which only some people can afford. The concept of selling water in cups evolved when Partha worked as a sales trainee and was on sales calls everyday, spending a good number of hours on the roads. If Partha has his way, you will be able to buy a glass of mineral water for a minimal cost of approximately Re 1 or Rs 2. The used glass can be returned to the attendant. The idea seriously evolved in the year 2000 and a 4-day test run was done as well.

PRAKASH MUNDHRA, Pune
Prakash wants to start a chain of retail stores that will exclusively sell puja samagri material.

IDEA:
I targeted the puja samagri material market – that is the material you require when you go to a big temple. It is a commodity market now, which I wanted to change into a branded market. At present, when you go to a temple and you have to buy puja material, you don't know the brand, so you have to rely on the retailer. The retailer could be bad; he could charge you extra money. So I wanted to create a national brand for puja material so that when you go to a temple you ask for material of my brand.

ENTREPRENEURS is much more than a Reality Show. It is an unprecedented year long "project" that allows us to partner with the University system, corporations, organizations, and small businesses in a creative effort that provides participants with a real life business experience that will assist them with their entrepreneurial goals. Aside from creating a "working" Business, the contestants will also experience the importance of philanthropy and community service, by initiating campaigns that will enable "The Company" to raise up to $250 Million for charities , Nationwide in 2005. Televising the project allows us to reach past our goal of leadership development and preparation for future endeavors, and allows us to assist organizations such as Council for Entrepreneurial Development, the Kauffman Foundation and other entrepreneurial development programs in the promotion and awareness of the opportunities available to individuals at their Universities and in the public and private sectors.

Contestants will create and operate an International Business. They will participate in various projects, ranging from idea to operation. Each project will contribute "in real life" to the overall functionality of the company (TBA). Group dynamics will continue to change until the winning entrepreneur has been chosen. Various twists, conflicts, group mergers, challenges, guest, the elimination process, and the "Real Time" creation of an International business is sure to be fun to watch.
