Gadget Talk:
Among other gadgets Sushant Singh Rajput muses about the love we have for our mobile phones.
Q. Whats that one gadget you cant live without and why?
My iPhone and my Mac Book pro.My iPhone is not only my communuication device but alos a great source of checking my emails and surfing the web, playing games, listening to music and a lot more with one device. My Mac Book Pro is extremely important because I have lots of softwares on my laptop for editing and whenever I get time I like to work on editing my short films on My Mac Book Pro
Q.Your latest possesion and what made you go for it?
Many may not consider a watch as a gadget but I do because of how sophisticated watches have become. I have got a tiger watch which apparently can go as deep as 125 metres in water. My question is that if humans can go only 100 metres in water then how a watch can go 125 metres deep (laughs)
Q. A gadget you aspire to own and why?
I have been reading up on iPhone 5, which is to be launched later this year.I am really excited about gettingh this phone because this will be a great phone. Its going to be extremely thin, faster and thin than the previous iphones.
Q.One gadget you wish existed?
I wish there was a gadget with which I could stop time for atleast one to two hrs. I would want o freeze the time so that I could think, plan, catch up on the rest, sleep, work on my short films and do much more that I want but cant always due to the lack of time. I am hoping some scientist out there is working on such a gadget and if there is someone working on it then I would like to book it on advance!
Q.What was the first gadget you acquired?( How old were you then, was it a gift, or if you bought it, why that particulat one?)
My first gadget was Nokia 3310mobile phone in the year 2000. I remember the cell phones were new technology at that time and I really felt like I had something as cool as time machine in my hand at that time! Today looking back I am smiling because our lives are so dependent on this one gadget-mobile phones that we cant imagine life without them.
Q.As a kid what was the gadget you always wanted?
Actually looking back, I dont think we realy had any such cool gadgets back when I was a kid. Today's kids have ipads, laptops, etc but we really didnt have all these things. The only gadget that existed was tvs and VCRs and that too each home had one (if any) and so as a kid I cant really remember wanting a particular gadget. We were happy with conventional toys.
Q.Any gadget that you think spends too much time with and your family/girlfriend dont like it?
Well those around me tend to get irritated at times dut to the amount of time I spend on my Ps3. I love playing games as they are great destresser and so whenever I get some spare time, I like to play on my Ps3.
Q. How do you update yourself on the latest gadgets and technology? ( talking with friends, or you have signed up for some tech magazines or surf the web)
I like to update yourself on the latest gadgets through reading magazines like GQ. One also does get to hear from others as if a good gadget is in the market, people are always recommending it to others. Good and bad mouth of words travel pretty fast. However,my first source is always reading about it in magazines or online.
