I agree Sammy, the focus on character which a show rides on ,
Even if you see Bidaaii the title reads Bidaaii Sapna babul Ka.. which means the fathers house the girl leaves to go to her husband's house, There are many chapters in the book, One of the leaf from the book was catered to in the pre leap with the basis of father daughter realstionship at its minimal but more focus given to the girl and her surrounding relastionship mainly with her sibling as some day they will part too, as for teh later it was focus again another chaperter from the book or concept which depcted the relastionship between the father and daughter , but with circumstances..which being the father is not her biological father but yet he loved her immensely and the other factors revolving around that, This leap has more to the story and can go to futire boundries, and Anmol';s character plays an important role for teh future of Bidaaii Sapna babul Ka.. Yes the other issue is teh show ended with more of that stories yet to explore and the other thread of the show being his relastionship with his wife which had certain bourdries but was getting explored as life moves on...

I see the show with these paramters leaving aside the actors play which is secondary but the character and the story surrounding it, and therefore if the show returns it needs these to follow this route as the foundation for it has already been set..

Magar Yes Anmol was a beautiful character male focused with immense depth shown in Bidaaii, and it given great dimension and his bledning with the other characters espically Ragini showed more to explore on her character also, magar fell short , My wish is to see continuation of teh show since the lep has a lot of significance for the characters and beyond, Hope Rajan ji can see the light of this and I am sure he would have somewhere noticed the way the characters were written and continue from here for a new season whenever he thinks about it.

Apurva tho Anmol hai , miss him loads with hios beautiful Ragini in Parul and teh wonder kids, Hope to see them back , kaash yeah sapna pura hoga ...😳

@shanti... very logical views you have penned down..so realistic...
as i said the strong foundation is already set up for a continuation and the focus on anmol-tammy in the end gave so much hint..
a strong bond of father-daughter ..tammy who will need her father anmol on each step of her life..

shanti RS does know the wonders he has done with the post leap..he gave audiences something out of the box and kudos to the creative thinking of his team..

they brought on screen an iconic character anmol and a risk taken to make anmol-ragini the new lead and couple of the show..the response of the viewers were amazing as angini got accepted instantly..
so just guess wat they have acheived in such a short span of time wat would be the result with a continuity of such a beautiful story..
i'm sure DKP-RS are keeping in mind the two strong pillars of the show...the iconic character of anmol and ragini for the launching of B2..

Saveeta we can always see that the show needs concepts to work on and the way the show ended the concept is already made its foundation, and as I said that the chapter is unfolded, time will only gauge its execution.Maybe after all the other launches, and SP feel that it has its need to return we can see it continuing from there

Even when it returns it could hold more basis to the father 's side of the story and focus should be on teh concept more

Winds of change on telly themes

Winds of change on telly themes

Here's evidence: A mature love story (Bade Achhe Lagte Hain); a relationship between two people from different generations (Kuch To Log Kahenge); a mature protagonist who reflects on his past and resurrects his life (Parichay); a family drama that addresses issues confronting the new generation (Navya) and a rich brat discovering love and family responsibilities after marrying into a middle-class household (Sasural Genda Phool). These are some the shows which stand out amidst the clutter of overblown sentimentality and herald the winds of change that will free television from run-of-the-mill family dramas.

"Television fiction has entered an interesting phase. The audience is asking for change. When a 40-year-old man is accepted trying to find love with a 30-plus woman, it means that viewers want to watch realistic stuff," says Sony's business head Sneha Rajani. Apparently, Sony wanted to make Kuch To Log Kahenge for the last two years but hesitated till the success of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. "It was kept on the backburner for two years but we fast-tracked it because if you want viewers to see your shows then you'd better give them something different," admits Sneha.

Producer Rajan Shahi of Bidaai, Yeh Rihsta Kya Kehlata Hai, Havan and Kuch To Log Kahenge says these are exciting times for television. "I tried to be different in Bidaai and Yeh Rishta, now I am trying to be more experimental with Havan and Kuch To Log Kahenge. If the trend succeeds then producers and channels will be encouraged to explore fresh narratives," he adds.

Sanjay Upadhyay, senior TV director and ex-channel programmer, says the winds of change started blowing with Balika Vadhu. "It broke the stereotype but unfortunately channels and producers misunderstood it as solely an issue-based show. The result was a slew of hard-hitting and dark stories of poverty and regressive values," he observes. But the audience was ready for path-breaking, innovative themes. This was evident in shows like Aap Ki Antara, 12/24 Karol Bagh and Sasural Genda Phool, which caught the attention of viewers. "People didn't talk about them much because they were not trendsetters. But they were catalysts of change," says Sanjay.

Producer Siddharth Tewari of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, Navya and Phulwa feels viewers are always open to different stories and interesting narratives. Rajan and Sanjay feel that these transformational winds will gather momentum. "Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuyen and Pratigya kind of shows will always be there. But the signs of movement are clearly visible," says Sanjay.
