Rohini and Sonakshi are in the kitchen, and are busy with the preparations for the farewell of the Ganapati idol. Naina and Akruti also come to assist them, and while Sonakshi is phoning her mother, Rohini sends Naina away, but asks Akruti to help. While they are keeping the containers, back, Naina snatches Rohini's phone and rushes out of the room, and on the way drops the case of the phone down, and goes to a secluded place and reads all the sent messages, and finds the messages she sent to Sonakshi, giving her instructions when and how to do the things. She praises her acting, and refers if she has given the tablets to Daksh. Later in another message, she tells her that they are on the way back, and to pretend and wake Daksh up, and tell him that he had intimate relations with her. Naina is shocked at her depravity, and the depth of meanness both of them could go. Naina has always been brought up in an environment of decency and high morals, and this looks strange to her. She rushes everywhere in the house to see Daksh, and asks his mother if she has seen him.
On seeing Daksh, his mother is upset, and takes him aside to tell him something. She treats him, as if he is still a small boy, and he behaves as if he is indeed a small boy, as his mind is else where, and what the mother tells him, does not get through to him.. He is thinking how Naina had told him, that within 12 hours he would know the truth. His mother wants him to pay great attention to Sonakshi and not create problems for them. One can not understand why she has set her heart on Sonakshi. Perhaps, her acting has captured her mind, and she is thinking that she belongs to a good Maharshtrain faimly, and is better than Naina for her son, since her paying guest has already a black mark against her being born illegitimate, even though she has treated her as her daughter, and has extracted a promise of stay away from her son. Will her opinion change, if she knows that Supriya is the mother of both Naina and Sonakshi. Will she still think highly of this girl, and her mother? Will she swallow her pride, if she comes to know it after her son has been bound by her to this girl, through the religious rite, which she so highly respects? The mother thinks that he has understood her point and goes about her work.
In the meantime, Rohini goes out, and on the way, discovers her mobile case fallen on the ground. She is then trying to locate her phone, and can not find it. Akruti observes her panic, and wants to alert Naina, but she can not find her.
Naina rushes to the terrace, and finds Daksh, and closes the3 door, but he is on a phone call with his client. She takes the phone from his hand, and asks him to read the messages, as she has found their secrets.
Rohini comes to Sonakshi, who is dressing herself, in a white saree, ready for the parting of Bappa. Her sling is out, and Rohini asks her if she has found her phone. Sonakshi asks her if she had deleted the inbox messages she received from her. But Rohini tells her that she forgot to delete the sent messages, and thinks that Naina might have read them. Both get panicky, and rush to find where Daksh is and go to the terrace. Sonakshi rushes ahead, and Rohini struggles, to climb the steps.
When Sonakshi opens the terrace door, she finds Daksh is reading the messages, and she rushes to him, trips and drops the phone from his hand and it breaks. The two rats, complain to Naina, what was she doing with her phone. Daksh tells that he found it on the terrace, and wanted to give it to Naina so that she could return it to her. Sonakshi asks her why this has made her upset, because the phone was broken. After all, it was belonging to Rohini. Naina gives her a sharp retort, and asks her to stop all her games. She knows what was on the phone, and the rats are not sure what she really read. They leave them.
Naina tries to tell Daksh that it was not his fault, she has read the messages, and it was a game both these women were playing on him. But Daksh is made to appear to be confused, and still blames himself. One more day is lost in resolving the plot, and they have still not swept the kitchen floor, and found the empty packet of drug tablets ! What was the idea of shooting the scene, if it was not a part of the plot, one wonders. The mother comes in with a bundle of clothes, and sees Daksh and Naina together. She is getting annoyed with Naina, and has already told her twice to keep away from her son, and not to come in his way of getting married to Sonakshi. She does not know, whether it is her place to tell her about what is happening to their family. She thinks it is the responsibility of Daksh, but he is in a confused state of mind, and the events inevitably, drive the whole family to the abyss. The Patwardhan family has failed themselves by not applying their minds to such a grave family matter as a marriage, where lives are ruined by hasty and irrational decisions. Perhaps, we have to see the effects of these decisions, so that the viewers can save themselves from such situations. Could one of these effects would be that Naina is asked to leave the house, to preserve the dignity of the Patwardhan family. Surely this will be the crowing piece for Sonakshi and Rohini, a special gift from their mother in law, Vibha Patwardhan.
