Shame on you, Fool me Twice Shame on Me.
Has Gopi not learned her lesson that her "sister" Rashi does not have her best interests at heart? We all have instincts. Don't her instincts tell her that she needs to think twice about getting herself interwined with Rashi's stories? She can express concern and then get on with her own business.
Eventually Gopi's stupidity has become boring; you can feel sympathy with this character for some time but after a while it becomes a drag. It does not matter how many times Gopi gets hurt by these people, she continually runs to them. She has some SERIOUS psychological problems. This is not an example of someone with a clean heart; people who have a clean heart are also able to establish health boundaries, remain cordial and polite and assert themselves so that others do not take advantage of them.
In this day and age we need to start promoting this kind of behavior instead of this black and white thinking that goodness only comes by getting abused by all of those around us and not standing up for ourselves. It is only on Indian television where this "non-assertive" stance is going to "win" over people. It does not happen in the real world.

Very interesting thread!

I am not sure about other countries but in South Africa I have found Indians to be very passive and accepting. Whilst other races are very aggressive and are not afraid of grabbing life by the scruff of the neck. Somewhere along the line we need to learn how to be more assertive and demanding.

All this "passive resistance" from Gandhi's time has given us is a legacy of passivity and little else 😔

Very good post. Absolutely true. How much of a fool is Gopi. I sincerely hope that by Rashi doing all this Jigar starts moving away from her. She and her silly mom richly deserve it.

There are two aspects to this:

there is the spiritual high ground of living the life that comes, be so accepting and so undiscriminating in that acceptance that you grow spiritually. I find Gopi a very interesting character sketch for her bhakti, her total lack of ego, her almost fluid movement through the obstacle race that is her life.

However, I completely agree that she is also a fool - and no amount of whitewash can cover that up. If she saw Rashi for what she was and then forgave her, it would be really something admirable. But to not see it! so many times. and fall for the same little tricks. there's nothing noble about that.

I wander if gopi really exsist, Nobody is that gullible... I know that rashi exsist, because I have seen her at work and in school. And if you see her run as fast as you can... you really never want to speak to her.

Gopi was the one who wanted to study and now that she has her husband's & MIL's support then why does she deviate from her goal?
Not everybody gets a second chance and now that Gopi has got another chance to prove that she can do well in her exams then why waste time in poking nose in others personal affairs...
She was longing for Ahem's care and support and now that Ahem is totally involved in making her dream of being educated come true all she cares about is Rashi ?
Has Gopi forgotten that she cried in front of Ahem to educate her...? or were they crocodile tears to gain sympathy from Ahem...?
Why does she need Hetal or Koki to supervise her and Ahem to keep reminding her to study where in the first place she was the one to come up with the thought of herself being educated... but no now that she has got all the attention all she wants to do is household chores and the biggest of all is to help Rashi...
I seriously wish that if this time Gopi fails in her attempt to clear her exam papers then she should get seriously punished... and also i would like to warn her that in future Ahem will not come forward to support her in anything

i agree with u... its true that rashi is continueosly fooling gopi and taking advantage of her innocense. Now track must lead to revealing rashis true face before gopi...only then Gopi can be alert and also escape from "Maa and Beti 's" Kalakari.

And also gopi must develop bit intelligence since she is going to school..or some help from her school friends..
There must me some change in track in coming episodes
I Wish Rashi is made suffer...maybe the creatives must introduce a new charecter ... who will make rashi and her mother suffer..during this course gopi and ahem will get close to each other and complete her studies also..
and /rashi's mother will apply her kalakari for daughter married life..
