Arohi's lump in throat grew big listening to this. The word with his voice sounded like music to her, and what did she do? stupid, she scolded herself. She did not care what others will think she just wanted to get out of there. Or else everyone will see her tears which will make matters worse. 'excuse me' she muttered and got up and left not stopping until she entered daddu's room.

She let her tears flow free now, now there is no way he will like her, that khoobsurat line was just for courtesy he cannot say anything rude probably, such a gentleman, then she remembered the things she said at the sink, omg now he will think she has boyfriends and she drinks and smokes. What kind of impressin has she given, first she falls on him leans on to him then she stares at him, then she did all this. She got the taste of salt up her throat, never in her life can she eat kheer again, idiot, u shld have atleast put more sugar and made it unbearably sweet.

She went inside the bathroom to wash her face. She noticed the red bow, she pulled it out and threw it in the dustbin, after washing her face for the third time she felt better. She will just hide in here until he leaves. Now no more chance of meeting him, this was probably the first and last chance she had. Just then sanchit came there looking for her. 'what the hell was that' he said to arohi who was sitting near the desk. 'sorry' she said. 'I will talk to u on this later, now in 5 mins you are coming down with a better attitude' 'now?, no I want to stay here' 'don't make me mad arohi. I called arjun here for a reason and you are not going to sabotage it. We are all sitting in living room and talking and u better put up a smile and come out' he said like there was no other way about this and left.

Arjun was sitting along with the family for a chit chat, he found it all strange, they were being overly courteous and friendly, do they treat all their partners like this?, may be. Anything for name and fame. Arohi joined them in 5 mins, she had washed and put on a different suit, the oiled plait was still there, she could not do anything about it now,but had put on a pair of earrings. That highlighted the neck line. Sanchit was not completely happy but was not looking as mad as before. She was mute spectator for the conversation. In between the casual talks Sudheer asked arjun 'tell me more about you arjun, where are you from ' sanchit interfered 'well dad I told you he has come from US and he has hotel business and now he is settling in Bombay,' 'right' agreed ajrun ' phir bhi, tell us more, where are you from , what do your parents do, where are they' sudheer's question triggered the vein on his forehead. He said in as much flat voice as possible 'they are no more' . Arohi felt a skip in her heart beat, a tug at the bottom of her heart, he has no parents?, how sad, no wonder his eyes look lifeless sometimes, wish she knew more.

Sanchit and sudheer were unaffected like always, it did not matter to them exactly. Daddu thought may be that is reason for that strange look in his eyes, he has no parents, may be he remembers them a lot. 'you must be missing them a lot' arohi questioned in a a very soft tone trying to hide her sadness. Arjun just looked up towards her straight into her eyes, 'yes' he said. 'you are all alone then , who else is there in your family' amrit asked him, family? Even their casual questions were sounding like daggers to him 'no body' 'daada daadi, bhai behen koi nai' she continued again before arohi could stop her. 'daadi is mostly on piligrimages, and that's it' he said coldly, one more question and he would bury them right there. Fortunately arohi changed the subject to ease out the tension 'so nice you are involved in bhaiyya's business' 'yep I am glad that I did' he said bringing his voice back to normal, 'well I will take leave now, it was good being here, saw what I wanted to see , a loving family' he stressed on the last words and started to leave. As he went out the main door, without sanchit asking or telling arohi went behind him.

He thought it was sanchit following him so he stopped. 'good night' she said as soon as he turned around. 'good night' he started to leave, 'Mr. Arjun' she stopped him. He gave a questioning look 'abt today , I am sorry' she said, 'for what' 'I behaved a little weird, believe me I am not at all like that, I don't even have many friends leave alone boy friends, and I don't touch drinks, I don't even know what smoking is , I mean I do but never tried it' she said it all in one go sighing in the end with relief. 'fine' that's it? 'and I was not really sick' she continued 'okay' he took couple more steps , she did not know how to continue. 'when will I see you again?' 'me?' 'yeah' 'I don't know, may be at your brother's office' he left to go and then turned around 'or when destiny wants us to' he said with a brought in heaviness. She failed to recognize the fake emotion, she was just carried away by the word destiny, so true it was destiny that they met , she felt her cheeks slightly warm, 'I wish so too and thanks for the compliments earlier' he had to remember what and when he any compliment, then he realized the 'khoobsurat', yeah right he had said it that time, so it is working 'I did not lie' he said. This was the fourth time he said something that made her heart go haywire, 'is it, but I was looking very funny' 'not to me' he said, please stop I cant bear this anymore her heart pleaded him, 'well see you when I see u, hopefully soon' he said as quickly as possible and left from there, he could not take anymore of it, now again she will say something and again he has to find something to say, he doesnot have all night to do that.

What he too did not know, was , even though he had casually said destiny, may be it was indeed destiny, if arohi wasn't his enemy's sister, he would have never even talked to her, OR was there a reason beyond reasoning for them to meet in the first place? that only time can tell.

He must be feeling equally awkward arohi thought that is why he left without looking back. did he really mean what he said, he said she was beautiful, he looked forward to see her again? He believes in destiny too? He doesn't have anyone to share his feelings with? How sad. What does he do when he gets lonely? Like how she is feeling now, lonely, from the moment he left. Is she thinking too much, whatever she did today was not a simple thing, she would have never done this if she had not met arjun, what does that mean? She walked inside the house lost in her thoughts.

'what the hell was that' sanchit roared as soon as she came in. 'sanchit, don't shout at her' KSA interfered 'aap chup rahiye, aapke laad ne bigada hai ise' he said, 'sanchit' amrit tried to calm him down 'I put so much effort and bring him home and she spoilt everything, now he wont even look at her, ab baithke dhundo ladka phir se' phir se? she thought like they had sat and looked for hundreds of them, and did they tell her who it was, they kept her in suspense did not even tell clearly that a guy is coming and the intention was to make them meet, so what is her fault if she assumed something. The defiant look on her face made him more mad 'see, is she even a little bit sorry for what she did' he complained 'I said sorry already, I am really sorry, I did not know why I did like that' 'no sick person will come down dressed like a clown, were u really sick first of all' he roared again , I will be now she thought. 'listen to me arohi, you will rectify this , you hear me, you are coming to office tomorrow with me and I will see that you rectify it' she heard only the words coming to office, she wanted to take a leap, destiny is that not what he said , this is it, 'okay' she said slowly and went upstairs. Trying hard not to jump.

Once in her room she did jump . May be he will be there, why else would her brother ask her to come. She was soon lost in dreamland. Whatever he said and did now appeared to be the bestest she had heard and seen till now. why this sudden madness, love? No, then? Don't know, well better find out soon. She questioned and answered herself. She hummed '...kheenche mujhe koi dor , teri ore teri ore , teri ore teri ore teri ore haaye rabba...'

Sudheer and sanchit were alone in the study. 'you think making him a son in law will be useful to us' dad asked the son. 'yes ' 'but it doesnot sound as easy as it looks' ' it is not easy, it will take time. Right now he is investing in shares, and is ready to finance, once it turns into profit, I can put the money back into market, until then I need his support' 'and being married to arohi there is no risk of him going back' 'that is why I am going to make this happen' 'what happened to the money you took from the finance company' 'I told you I will put it back' 'when' 'soon' 'you realize we will have major loss if something happens to that' 'I will take care of that' 'he does not have anyone' 'good for us na, nobody to back him up then we will be his only family' 'I have this strange feeling whenever I see him' 'I too felt like that at first, it is nothing, once he is one of us, everything will be fine, you just make sure daddu agrees to this wedding' 'arohi is daddu's favourite, he will ask lot of questions' 'not if arohi says she wants to marry him' 'hmm then he wont object' 'I wonder many times, why arohi alone gets his favouritism, not us? Even this house he is not making it in my name' he complained 'don't worry this will be mine and eventually yours' sudheer promised him, 'or we have many other flats in the city' 'but this has all the grandeur' 'I told you it will be yours, now get some sleep'

Arjun however was not happy about the dinner. He was feeling guilty for eating in the enemy's house. 'forgive me dad, but had to do this, had to eat their food, I am so sorry'. he said silently.

Next day arohi was back to being normal . 'akal thikane aa gaya?' amrit asked her still a little angry. 'good morning' she tried to give her mom a silly smile. 'aur since when is kheer your favourite that you jumped to get a bigger share?' amrit still was not able to believe arohi said that isme jyada hai. 'don't know it smelled too good' arohi still lied.

'battameez, baad mein nai kha sakti thi?' 'leave it na mamma , pleeaase' 'next time behave'. She went to their office with sanchit. An hour later arjun came there, to discuss some layout plans with sanchit. Arohi is here to help us too. With what? Both arjun and arohi thought at the same time. Sanchit made arohi sit next to arjun and he left on pretext of taking a call. 'hi' she said with a cute smile 'hello' he said like yesterday had never happened. 'I don't know what to do here, bhaiyya did not tell me anything' 'I have no idea either, you can sit back and relax' she observed him for a while and questioned ' what is your background?' 'what did I study? I am a civil engineer, a businessman, and when my car needs me I am a mechanic, I can be whatever I need to be depending on the need' there was no pride or boasting in his tone, he was just mentioning. She was silent for while. And then it happened . wow great update kavya. so sanchit is all set to get arohi hitched to arjun. well at least he has spoken to his family of his intentions so now later family can too blame him na.
