Aashi and well wishers,
Archana is going to kill me, or maim me at least because she wanted to make a thread and I banned her BECAUSE I don't really celebrate my solar birthday.
HOWEVER, Aashi, this is just so sweet and your words even sweeter but your heart the sweetest of all. Truly it says more about the generosity and kindness of your own heart than it being any reflection of my own being. Aashi, since the first time we talked your polite and warm manner impressed me and endeared me forever.
I am ever in need of your wishes, and these heartfelt prayers are beautiful. Maybe I should have a birthday more often. 😳😆 Anyway, though old, here are some gifts from last year for my friends, that I have rewrapped for you.
If my breath could hold you
I would breathe you in whole,
If my heart could touch you
I would envelope your soul,
If my sight could keep you
I would bind you within a stare,
If my love would but reach you
I would be from those whom darkness spared.
A recipe for MJHT.
Take 30 digestive biscuits as a wholesome foundation of Shilpa Aunty's love. Crush into breadcrumbs, as life sometime does. Add Samrat's fearless optimism against obtuse and obscene odds; about a packet of Marshmellows (seek out the hard to find 'suitable for vegetarian' kind so your recipe does not lose its soul); cut up into halves so that they will consistently fill you. Add small tub of Glacier Cherries whose gleam and glisten remind you of that innate and irrepressible beauty of Mayank's diligence. Add white chocolate drops of virtue that Gunjan held onto despite their becoming cumbersome in this day and age. Finally bind them all together with that most sweetest of things, Nupur, a whole can of condensed milk; for truly to try to fit in and thereby losing yourself is blameworthy but nothing more rewarding than wanting to belong, belong to a place, to a piece of this world, to want to belong to another's heart!
Form into two parallel long shapes to represent your life and the life of your companion; for time may be long in length for some but still passes in a blink of an eye but for others that gain depth and width even the shortest time is precious companionship!
Coat with desiccated coconut for that added je nais se quoi, that MJHT brought, that no one can say why or where from, although my favourite quotes on this are Gagan's "what shall one do when you have such a deadly combo of ArTi as MayUr?" (same for all my beloved jodis,) And I forget who said but "Magic once created can not be re created."
Wrap in foil and leave overnight in fridge freezer, the cruelness of this cold world, then take out and cut up into 1 to 2 cm sliced biscuits, for the journey is long and so nourishment is needed all along.
This is MJHT for me, chunky & chewy, soft and hard; processed but wholesome; candy floss coloured yet earthly at its base; sweet and yet sweeter still; it should not make sense that it has become your beloved but still we can not deny it is truly one of the best things I have ever tasted!
Serve with your favourite episode of MJHT
Aashi, what can I say, you are truly a friend. I will return later, after all my chores and errands to reply to your very generous post in detail.
