I think this part in red highlighted above is the problem. Yes, she says she is okay with it, and "aap log unko apnaa lo, and gauri bhi patni aur bahu ka darja milna chaahiye"... but then her behaviour completely belies that she is okay with it.
As soon as JG will enter the haveli she has lots of reactions which state the opposite
1. she starts fainting, they have to go to a doctor
2. she starts dropping teacups and saucers
3. she starts burning food standing in front of the stove;
4. she starts chopping vegetables and then lops off her own finger 😆;
5. then she goes and sits in the rain and gets wet -- again a burden to the singh parivar because now they have to deal with pneumonia threat.
6. then she gets fever and people have to now put cold compresses on her head.
If she says it is okay, then it should truly be okay. But it is not okay. So they dont want to trigger off one more incident.
It is not just the discomfort of having JG there while a is there ... it is a's own reactions to having JG there that alarm the family.
