Samir is just about to enter into Maan's house, heard a huge noise of quarrelling both by Maan & another person, that must be Dev, & then suddenly there is a sound of a gun shot. He rushes into that room, from where that sound is coming out & he has found there a terrible scenario. Dev is lying there in blood, while Maan is also right there holding a pistol in his hand aiming at Dev. Samir gets no clue what has happened there. He quickly checks out the nerves of Dev'...'Dev is dead'. Samir stares at Maan, who stands still there like a dumbstruck.
Samir: Yeh kaya kiya tuhne Maan?
Maan: Mmmaine kuch nahi kiya...maine nahi mara Dev ko...his voice gets fumbled up.
Samir: Maan, maine goli ki awaz suni, yeh pistol tere haath mein hai aur tuh kah raha hai key..!!
Maan: Believe me Samir, maine goli nahi chalayee...hum dono toh aise hi baatein kar rahe the..achanak pata nahi kahan se goli chal gayee'!!!
Samir: Maan, koi yakeen nahi karega tere baton ka..goli ki awaz pure maholle ne suni hogi...aur uunmeinse kisi na kisine aab tak toh police mein khabar de hi dii hogi'.
Maan: Kaya karun main Samir, Maan gets puzzled up.
Samir: Ek kaam kar, yeh gun mujhe de.
Maan: Kyun , tuh kaya karega iiska...!!
Samir: Maine kaha naa de'...he snatches the pistol from Maan's hand...agar police case bana toh tera carrier barbaad ho jaayegaa'...aur main aisa hone nahi dunga.
Maan: Matlab !!
Samir: Matlab police aaye toh hum kahenge key yeh goli maine chalayee hai...maine mara hai Dev ko.
Maan: Are u going crazy Samir !! tujhe maaloom hai naa kisika khun karne ki saza kaya ho sakti hai ?
Samir: Mujhe sab pata hai Maan, par iiish waqt mere liye kuch bhi agar important hai toh woh tuh hai.
Maan: Stop it Samir...now give me that gun...'give me'...now Maan is trying to snatch that out, meanwhile Geet & Maan's mom just enter into the room.
Maan's mom gets screamed out after watching those blood-shed. Geet looks stunned.
Geet: Yeh kaya huya...'Dev'...'Dev'...she inches forward to Dev.
Samir: Geet , kareeb mat jaayo laash ke.
Geet: Laashh!!!!
Maan: Geet , mera yakeen karo , maine nahi mara Dev ko'...pata nahi kahan se goli chali'...Geet has absolutely no clue what Maan is saying to her. She sits there covering her face imagining what is going to happen on the very next moment.
Police comes there after a while as someone from the neighbor has called them up. Both Samir & Maan have claimed that they have killed Dev. The officer really gets confused & he arrests both of them. Geet can't say anything as her eyes get shattered with tears. She tries to console Maan's mom, who has fainted there after seeing her son gets arrested.
Next day, Geet has talked to Arohi to get a best lawyer for Maan & Samir. This case is becoming very very crucial both for Maan & Samir as they both don't agree to back out from their claim. Today is the 1st hearing of the case. Geet comes there in the court room with Arohi. She looks very very tensed. After a while both Maan & Samir have been brought into the courtroom in front of the judge, who asks them about what has exactly happened on last night. Samir & Maan both claim that they both were there on the murder spot, & they both also claim that they have killed Dev. Mr. Sharma , the public prosecutor starts the case with a bang that there is only one killer in this case, not two & he is none other than Maan.
Mr. Sharma : Your honor , this is probably an open & shut case. Yeh khoon sirf aur sirf Mr. Maan ne hi kiya hai, & i can prove that to you. Aur iishke liye pahle yeh prove karna zaruri hai key Mr. Samir is innocent.
Samir: Maine kaha naa aapse, yeh khoon maine hi kiya hai.
Nahi Sir, goli maine chalayee, Dev ko maine mara hai'...Maan interrupts.
Mr. Sharma : Waah'..!! kaya dosti hai...yani key aap dono hi uus time pe murder spot mein the, Your honor inn dono ke fingerprints pistol mein maujood hai , ek hi goli chali, Mr. Dev ka khoon bhi ho gaya..par yahan pe toh 2-2 khooni aa gaye hain ..!!! ha ha ha ha!!!! Your honor, iishe jayda funny incident toh koi comic serial mein bhi nahi hota'...yeh dono adalat ka waqt barbaad kar rahe hain.
'I object your honor.'...Mr. Varghav, a veteran lawyer appointed by Arohi's father to fight for Maan & Samir, claims for an objection to the allegation narrated by Mr. Sharma.
Mr. Varghav: Your honor, mere kawil dost sayed yeh bhool chuke hai key koi zurm saavit hone se pahle tak yeh adalat kisiko gunahgaar nahi thahrata.
Mr. Sharma : Your honor , thoda waqt dijiye, gunah saawit bhi ho jaayegaa...kyun key har apradhi koi na koi saboot toh zarur chod ke jata hai'.
Mr. Varghav: Yehi baat main bhi bolne ki koshish kar raha hun your honor...ho sakta hai key iinhone nahi kisi aur ne Mr. Dev ka murder kiya ho, aur dono ko fansaya jaa raha ho...kahin aisa naa ho key adalat ek begunah ko saza de de...aur asli mujrim choot jaaye.
Mr. Sharma : Asli mujrim !!! Ha ha ha...Asli mujrim sabke saamne kahda hai Your honor...main naam nahi lunga, warna mere kawil dost phirse mujhe yeh yaad dilayenge key "zurm saavit hone se pahle tak yeh adalat kisiko gunahgaar nahi thahrata.''...hai naa...toh chaliye , saawit kar dete hain...Mr. Samir...he inches towards the box, where Samir is standing.
Mr. Sharma : Mr. Samir, aap kah rahe hain, key aapne Mr. Dev ko mara, kaya aap bata sakte hain ishke piche kaya wajah rahi hogi.
Samir: Ji...ji ..main woh..Dev se nafrat karta tha.
Mr. Sharma: Reallyyy..kyun ?
Samir: Kyunke woh... woh.
Mr. Sharma : Hain hain...batayiye...kyun nafrat karte the aap Mr. Dev se?
Samir: Bas aise hi... Samir looks very disturbed.
Mr. Sharma: Aise hi !!! Aare vaah...aise hi aap kisika murder kar denge...Your honor , aise hi koi kisika khoon nahi kar deta...achha chaliye Mr. Samir, adalat ko yeh batayiye key aap Mr. Dev se pahlibaar kab aur kahan mile the?
Samir hesitates.
Mr. Sharma: Batayiye, batayiye...sharmayiye nahi...kaya huya...yaad nahi aa raha hai !! chaliye koi baat nahi , main yaad dila deta hun aapko...your honor, Mr. Samir, Mr. Dev se pahli baar bilkul ushi raat , ushi jagah pe, yani key uushi 'murder spot' mein hi mile the, Mr. Dev ke khoon hone se thik kuch der pahle...kyun main sahi kah raha hun naa Mr. Samir'...Samir stares at down, can't say anything else as it's a fact that he hadn't met with Dev before that night.
Mr. Sharma: Toh Mr. Samir, kisiko pahli dafa milne par hi aisi bhi kaya baat ho gayee thi, key aapko uunka khoon karna padha...hain...batayiye? Samir maintains silence.
Mr. Sharma: Your honor, lagta hai Mr. Samir ke pass kahne ke liye kuch hai nahi...chaliye main hi kah deta hun..asal baat yeh hai, key Mr. Samir ne Mr. Dev ko maara hi nahi , kyun ke Dev ka khoon Samir ne nahi Mr. Maan ne kiya hai...pointing his finger towards Maan. Geet closes her eyes in fear.
