Part 13:

As she entered the Raizada house, she saw Anjali servin Arnav breakfast. She had a meter like thing in her hand and she had been reading it.

"aaj aapka sugar level thoda zyada hai chote"

She looked worried. Arnav hold his sisters hand and made her sit down sit to him and said…

"aap kyun aise choti choti bato pe itni pareshaan ho jaati ho di, thoda upar neeche to hota hi rehta hai … you know how it is"

Par chote … Anjali begins to say … " aapko shaadi ke bare main soch lena chahiye .. I mean … Lavanya ne kuch kaha …."

Arnav: di, aap jaanti ho iss bare main kya sochta hoon …

An: dekho na chote … hum shaadi karke kitne khush hai, Gopal ji main hume sirf ek jeevan saathi hi nahi, balk eek dost bhi mila hai…. Aur wo humara khoob khayal rakhte hai … aap ko bhi aisi koi ladki …

And the mention of this, makes Arnav look up and see someone walking towards the table, and his heart is filled with an unknown unreasiness…. He can't explain whats going on inside him, but ever since he had met this girl, this feeling had not left him, and everytime she came in front it just got worse as though someone was suffocating him. He didn't like this and he just wanted the girl to go away from his sight. And then it got worse now, since she had been walking straight upto him…

Anjali turned around and looked at Khushi and smiled … "arey Khushi ji aap… yahan ….aayiye … humare saath naashta keejiye …"

Khushi smiled after passing on a dirty look towards Arnav that quickly transformed into a genuine smile when she turned to Anjali …

"hum naashta ghar se karke aaye hai … darasal, hume aapse baat karni thi …"

An: baat toh karenge, lekin zara yeh chak ke toh dekhiye, aaj nashta humne banaya hai …. Khushi smiles ... she settles down not wanting to turn down the offer as her amma had told her not to refuse food when offered more than once.

Khushi comfortably sat down and suddenly felt at home. She didn't know why and how, despite a monster sitting right in front of her, she felt like she knew the surroundings forever and that the Raizada house, though lacked warmth, still felt like home… she felt the need to belong here…

As Anjali served her a parantha, bit into it, and unmindfully ended up eating a chilli … not knowing how to stop the mirchi she gulped down whatever was in the cup next to her much to ASR's shock. It was his coffee without sugar and hence was bitter and strong. Khushi almost spat it out instantly, spilling not only all over but also dropping some on ASR's designer suit… patting herself back to semlence on her head, she made a disgusted face and said… yeh kya hai .. itni kadvi toh dawai bhi nahi hoti …humare ghar ke paas waaley ved saab… (she is about to start but stops looking at ASR's angry face)

Anjali burst out laughing saying… "khushi ji, yeh chote ki coffee thee…

Khushi is even more shocked… "kyaaa…. Coffee??? Wo bhi itni kadvi … humare babuji ke dukaan pe hum bhi coffee banate hai, aur hum jaante hai coffee aisi nahi banti …"

An: isey decaf kehte hai …

Arnav is not interesting in explaining stuff to Khushi he gets up and just walks away from there … while Anjali settles down on a chair next to Khushi …. " aap kuch kehne waali thi …."

Khu: pehle toh yeh ke aap hume khushi ji kehke ke mat bulayiye .. bahut hi ajeeeb lagta hai .. iss khushi ko agar aap sirf khushi kahenge toh usey bahut khushi hogi …

An: aap badi dilchasp baate karti hai …

Khu: so toh hai … (snapping fingers smiling) .. waise, iss ghar main sab thoda kam haste honge na, aapke uss bhai ke wajah se..

An: aisi koi baat nahi hai Khushi ji … tch … Khushi …

Khushi: job hi ho …. hum aapse apni jeeji ke bare main baat karne aaye hai …

An: arey .. kaisi hai Payal ji, unhe bhi saath le aati bahut accha lagta hume … pata nahi kyun aap dono se milke mujhe bahut apna apna sa laga …

Khu: Anjali ji … hum aapse koi baat chipaana nahi chahte… lekin, hume lagta hai, humari jeeji aur aapke bhai akash ek doosre ko pasand karte hai …

An: yeh baat toh kal hume bhi lagi …

Khushi wonders if she should let her sisters college story out, and then decides against it and tells her … but she suddenly feels all old and responsible for her sister and remembers how her bua had accused her of ruining all her sisters rishtas.. she thinks now is a time for her to mend things. Not once does it occur to her that she could be impulsive…

Kh: lekin … problem ho gayi hai … Jeeji Dilli chali gayi hai, aur wahan bua ji unki shaadi kisi aur se karvana chahti hai …

An: Payal dilli main hai?

Kh: jee…

An: for toh apna kaam aur bhi aasan ho gaya hai …

Kh: matlab

An: Akash bhi kuch dino ke liye Dilli gaye hue hai … aaj subah hi wo nikle…

Khushi almost jumps in her seat with excitement at the thought that both of them are in Delhi….

Kh: Lekin Delhi shehar toh hai bahut bada na … wo dono wahan kaise milenge ….

An: (with a naughty glint in her eyes) milenge nahi …. Hum unhe milwayenge …..

Kh: (excited) kaise ….

Anjali calls Khushi close and explains something to Khushi to which she readily nods and both the girls shake hands.

Just then Arnav walks in straight and pulls Khushi by her arm …

Ar: Main jaanta tha… tum jaisi ladkiyan sirf aur sirf apne maksat aur apne fayde ke bare main soch sakti hai … meri bholi di ko phasa ke tum apni didi ko mere bhai ke gale band na chahti ho … Di maine aapse pehle hi kaha than a … yeh ladki sahi nahi hai ….

Khushi feels greatly humiliated and stabbed by these words and her eyes are filled with tears. She is about to leave when Anjali holds her by her hand and looks at Arnav angrily….

An: Chote…. Iss main Khushi ki koi galti nahi hai ….

Ar: di aap kuch nahi jaanti …

An: Chote… aap Khushi se maafi maangenge iss battemmezi ke liye … ladkiyo ke saath aisa bartaav kiya jaata hai ??? ( Almost hurt) ….

Ar: whatever, main ja raha hoon.. and by the time I am back, I want you outta my house …. You gold digger….

Arnav walks away … as Khushi breaks down unsoleably … However the tears are not because of the words the man had just uttered, but because of the way he jammed into her head and had begun to effect her in a manner that she was in a totally helpless state.

hope khushi soon finds clrs things abt shyam to evryone!!!!
