Reportedly, a reality show around speeding cars, supposedly on the lines of Formula One races, has been designed. Called Jee Le Yeh Pal, it was shot two months ago in Udaipur with six TV actors and six commoners. The list of TV actors includes Karan Wahi, Kinshuk Mahajan, Rati Pandey, Anupriya Kapoor and Gaurav Khanna.
The only qualification required to participate in the show is that the participants need to know how to drive, and drive really rash as and when there is a requirement.
Apparently, the show hasn't been shot on actual racetracks. Instead, it's been shot on rough terrain across the state of Rajasthan.
The reality show clubs a car race with treasure hunt. It's been produced for Star Plus and is expected to be on air from this weekend in an unlikely 7.30 pm slot.
Our source from the channel states, "Contestants were provided riddles and clues to reach their destination. There are stunt-based challenges at every halt on their way to the final spot. Whoever fails the stunt gets eliminated. The winner gets to visit any destination in the world that he or she likes. The show should last a couple of weeks, maybe a month at best."
A contestant, on condition of anonymity, lets in that the production quality of the show was pretty bad. Even the accommodation provided to the celebrities and the crew was not up to the mark. "Till a while ago, we didn't even know if the show would ever be aired because we had shot it two months ago. It was supposed to have come on air long ago. I don't think I'll believe the news until I see the show on air," he says.
Till the time of going to press, we couldn't get an official comment from the channel on the show's correct status. Apparently, Karan Wahi and his partner have won the contest but there is no confirmation on that as yet.
