Radhika ...Mahaan...Heartless or what ?

I was thinking from past few days , is Radhika trying to be Mahaan as many think or on the way of self-destruction ...Those who understand Radhika , will also understand her mental agony , which she is going through ...Why people want her to act different , when her nature is like this ...She always has one track mind if she decided on something ... .For her KK, she did not care for the society , but now is scared of the same society just because of Dev ...She does not want Dev,s image to be tarnished because of her ...Her love is unconditional , not asking for anything for herself ...Yes RP has done a great job by filling her mind with his definition of Dharam , adharam , and society norms thus left her guilty conscience and almost killing her soul ...She think her marriage is the cause of RP,s death .. ...Yes about society , people are like this , they would not let you forget your past if living in small place like Mathura ..
Shanti ,s accusations made her more determined in her decision , she was kind of mirror of the society ,...She is hurting herself more , when she is hurting Dev ,when he is the reason of her existence ..., May be distancing herself from him slowly ... it was very poignant when Dev was crying in the rain and she could not go to him to console him , when he needed her most , she knows if she becomes weak then would not be able to keep her promise to dying RP...Sometimes you feel anger at her or want to to protect her , ,She needs someone , who could put some sense in her , and bring her out from guilt ridden conscience that is eating her slowly that what she is doing is Adharam , not right...Dev is that person who can bring her out from this misplaced concept of society and dharam ...She needs guidance as she is young...She is head-strong , stubborn, can be Dev,s strength to fight the evils of society ...She needs to have been given dialogues , monologues where she could voice her pain , her turmoil ., because of the lack of her expressions , she is the most misunderstood person now ...After RP,s heart attack , both are in their own shell till now , can not reach to each other as if are miles apart ...I feel sad when i look at both of them , being soul-mates ,are now two lonely souls ...

Neerja--you have made some excellent points regarding radhika's current state of mind and why her responses are what they are..I especially liked your following points (and couldn't explain it any better--so using your words)...

Shanti's accusations further solidified her resolve and by the decisions Radhika is making, she is hurting herself more, when she is hurting Dev, when he is the reason of her existence ..., Yes and that is why she is distancing herself from him slowly ...

and also Radh has a great fear, she thinks that if she accepts this relation then there will be a mark on their relation saying because of their selfishness RPji died!!!, we know the truth that what happened, but does the society really care for the truth before talking out such statements?

She could bear anything but not such statements on their relation, esp how she can see people pointing fingers at her KK.

She has become "Khator" (eng?? rock hearted).
yeah and also shanthi's words did effect her. not only shanthi's words but also the words of RPji before he had first heart attack and also maheswari's...
When a person goes through so much it will make them very depressed.

SO to make it right, to prove everybody wrong she subconsciously accepted RPji's decision and believes what ever RPji said is right...and she's following it.

And also i think Dev is really supporting her, not in her adharm but is with her( as her ummeed).
He knows whatever she's doing, is wrong but he's still reasoning with her, being poliet, being loving. He could have been rude to her and put his decision on her, but he didnt do anything like this. He is still giving her space, he's reasoning with her. He's trying to understand her and making her understand...

But at one point he has to control her, just waiting to see that.

Ya neerjha u r right infak radhika don't know herself in wich direction she has to go she needs some1 to guide her she need to come out to the real world wer she has to fight and in this i hope some1 will help her either Dev, Kahna or the evilness of rohan or may be the words of bharkha but i don't know someone must do this

nice post neerja... radhika is neither a mahaan r heartless its the present situation that projects her so... its jst bcoz of guilt that she is doing so moreover no one to support her other than dev all want dev to leave rad considering as adharm shanthi added fuel to the fire ... mansa could have told rad that its wrong ... communication gap btwn dev and rad yster there was one were dev put forth his points patently looks like though rad knows he is right could not accept it... but none other than dev could do the job... more hudles outside and inside as rohan is back...
