Bollywood stars are a fashionable lot. Sometimes, they look straight out of the fashion magazines but just that once in a while, they get it wrong. We decided to play fashion police, and take a closer look at how celebs stepped out last week.

Tiered beauty

The svelte Bipasha Basu attended the unveiling of Karan Johar's film Agneepath's first look in this pretty tiered short dress and looked lovely.

There's really not much to it since we've seen Bips do this look and perfect it a LONG time ago. Time to move on to something new and exciting, perhaps?

At Agneepath's first look launch, leading lady Priyanka Chopra wore a pretty James Ferreira dress and paired it up with metallic peep-toes.

She makes for quite an arm-candy doesn't she?

Priyanka was also present at choreographer and occassional singer Ganesh Hegde's music album launch at the Grand Hyatt.

Can we say we are totally disappointed? The colour of the jumpsuit is just so generic and even the glittery waist band fails to salvage it. Even the hairdo is boring.

The Mere Brother Ki Dulhan team is in promotional overdrive as the trio -- Katrina Kaif, Imran Khan and Ali Zafar are practically going from one reality show to the next talking about their new film.

And Kat has consistently appeared as her character in the film. While it was all endearing and cool to see the very feminine and delicate Katrina do leather boots and waist-coats, it's just plain boring.

Kareena, too, had taken to making appearances as her Bodyguard character and this one's from a promotional event where she felicitated Bollywood's bodyguards. Nice move, that.

Anyway, coming to the dress, while Katrina is only borderline boring, Kareena makes us groan.

Kareena Kapoor

Vidya Balan, who's cooking up quite a storm ever since the trailer of The Dirty Picture came out, attended the unveiling of the film's first look in a rather casual yet cute outfit.

The actress was in French Connection and nude peep-toes. The red lipstick kept things fresh and interesting.

Rapper Hard Kaur was present at Ganesh Hegde's album launch event.

The singer, true to form, wore an eye-popping scarlett lips pendant to jazz up a short white dress. Wish she'd kept it a notch lower on her eyes though. Less is more, and good.

Sophie was at the album launch too in a black dress and animal-print peep-toes. Understated and chic.

Look who showed up at the album launch! Payal Rohatgi, who seemed to have gone into hiding after the whole casting couch controversy, resurfaced for this event wearing an orange ho-hum dress.

Apart from the weird length of the dress, there's not much to talk about here. The look's a tad jaded.

I like BB's drss.The colour is cool.
Loving PC's magenta dress.She is looking like a iva.
Katrina is ok.
Love Kareena's kurta.Red suits her.
For me it's a tie between PC and Kareena.

Hard Kaur sucks.
