If I am not wrong, Radhika promised Dadaji to uphold the traditions and honor of the family while keeping the respect of the Rajpurohit system.

Dada looks at her and tells her that it's time for him to go. He continues that she has done lots of things for this house and family and he is asking for himself for the last time (Radhika nods yes) that she should help Dev to become a good Rajpurohit (Radhika again nods her head)and that she should see that the image of this family is not spoilt (Radhika with a painfull look nods again). He asks for her promise that she will protect the Rajpurohiti, the respect of this house and the traditions of this family (Radhika with a worried look glances aside). Dada is continuing and asking for her promise and Gayatri Mantra being chanted in the background. Radhika holds dada's palm between her palms and promises him.
Didn't Dadaji just ask her to fulfill the duties of a Bahu? if he truly considered Barkha to be the future Rajpurohitain then he would ask her to do all this. so i think inside, DDji knows only Radhika can do this. So how will radhika interpret her promise? I am sure the determined and stubborn Radhika will fulfill her promise, but how? Will she agree to Dev and take the rights as a bahu? or will she be the silence force that does all the work backstage while Barkha will be the lead?
