Abhay-Jeh-Dan : Highs and lows of character

Supersonic episode , hmm? Dobriyaal girls were kickass and not annoying for a change. Danish proved to be the hero of the day , truly. Abhay made you feel like spanking the whole werewolf clan including Jeh and Alina. And finally , for a change , Piya went running to the prison to save her Abhay instead of screaming 'Put him in to jail'. And the look they both exchanged in the last frame was absolute soulmate –poignancy.
Coming to the post now,
The male characters who stood out today were Abhay , Danish and Jeh – and they displayed three different and divergent sides of human character.
Abhay proved himself to be a man of his word , character and his heart. Like a man , he kept his promise to Jeh , kept blind trust in him and brought his mother Dipz to him. He didn't even once think that Jeh could double-cross him or that he should keep Dipz under tabs until he sees Piya safe. Abhay , when it comes to trust , is still vulnerable. This innocent trust that he puts into everyone has made him suffer hell at the hands of Metz , Sid and now, Jeh. But then, that is Abhay . All purity and a virgin heart. Its no big deal that he didn't think even a second about going into prison for Piya's sake. From Maithli to Piya , Abhay has been to hell and back in the name of love . As Carisma so rightly says , Abhay is 'the epitome of love'.
But , but, but. Love always demands a luxurious price and you pay heavily for it. Fine, Abhay prove to be the epic lover that he is but today , he failed as leader of a clan. He let down his parents , he let down the entire vampire community and he risked them all to the attack of the werewolves. He had to choose between two rights and he chose Piya. Fair enough. But if tomorrow ,anything happens to his clan because he let Dipz live , Abhay will be guilty and he cannot justify what he did.
Danish. Ah, well. We have loved him, hated him , abused him , gotten confused by him , slowly accepted him back into the fold. One character who may not have been around very much but he has shown you how a human-being goes from good to bad to ugly and then, back to redemption. For that one sin that he committed against Maya , Pancchi and Piya , he is paying till date. He is trying to redeem himself and admit it that even though we can never love him again , he sets a fine example that even the worst deserve a second chance.
Raichands bailed him out and he stayed committed to them – even going to the extent of taking life-threatening risks just for Abhay's sake. He always looked out for Pancchi after she left him because he realized that no matter how bad he was , his love for his Birdie was real enough. Today , he understands his life and his mistakes better . Danish is assessing his life again and even though the creatives never paid attention to him, they did a fair job with him.
It was a strange comfort feeling seeing Danish beat up Neel for the same Piya whom he wanted to kill more than a year ago. This is REDEMPTION – Dan's deliverance from sin and damnation.
And I really don't know what to say about Jeh today. For the first time , I felt that even given his situation , he hit a low in his character . It was not even grey – it was an absolute badass attitude and he actually prove the 'slyness' of wolves to be a reality and not a legend. Was Abhay wrong in trusting Jeh that he would keep his word if Abhay brings back Dipz? Jeh loves his mother , everyone does but how can you be so blind to her faults? She KILLED a man and to cover it up , you want to send an innocent man to jail? Even hatred needs to have some honesty and Jeh made no sense to me except an unbelievably blind-in-mother's love son. Your mother goes about murdering people and someone else should go to jail? But think what irked me the most was how Jeh used both Abhay-Piya as pawns and puppets . Or maybe I shouldn't be surprised at all – I always wanted a grey Jeh , right? Still, am very upset with him today. His mother is ruining him and how.
As for the rest of the episode, Misha jhaadofying Alina and deciding to hook her up with Kabir was fun. Pancchi was an ace with her emotional game with Neel . And Neel left me all confused with his feelings for Pancchi. Pancchi is slowly returning to Danish and you can see it when the first person she thinks of in this need of hour is Danish and he delivers.
I think Piya only knows that Neil kidnapped her to set his Mom free because remember everyone is thinking that Neil is guilty. So, when Piya sets Abhay free tomorrow , Jeh will still be clean. Just guessing.
Abhay's 'Piya , tum theek ho' and the look that Piya gave him with Dil Ibaadat playing in BG reminded you that just why you are sticking to PKYEK still.
P.S- FUNNIEST PART! Aaj inspector ne Abhay ki lagaa ke rakh di. He simply REFUSED to put Abhay in jail and even argued with him. But he should be relieved tomorrow because FIR specialist Piya has come running to take Abhay off his neck and onto her neck.
