Virtue, righteousness, and duty: Dharma

Dev truly believes in the vows he took with Radhika. His moral duty is to take care of Radhika his wife. Dev being righteous man stood up for his believes are despite oppositions. He is a true leader.

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world. Speak or act with an impure mind and trouble will follow you, like the wheel follows the ox that draws the cart.

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world. Speak or act with a pure mind and happiness will follow you, as your shadow unshaken.

In this world, hate never yet dispelled hate. Only love dispels hate. This is the Law, ancient and inexhaustible. We are what we think.

-- Lord Buddha

This above quote reflects current situation between Dev, Dadaji & Radhika.

Dadaji to save his own reputation in society is making decisions that are impure, hence trouble will follow him. His first trouble phase was when he was bedridden for past 12 years. Not to forget his son passing away before him. His recent condition is causing him to become physically weak and it is even difficult for him to breath. This impure thinking is leading him to even more trouble.

Dev on the other hand always has followed the path of righteousness and his thinking always has been pure. He has always put others before him. He first stood up for Dadaji. He fought for his love when Rohan was mistreating & blackmailing Radhika. Now he is fighting for his wife.

Radhika's decisions are purely in the content to protect her husband. Her decision is nor right nor wrong. Dadaji has imbedded in her mind that society will not accept Dev as RP if he marries Radhika. If society finds out Dev married Radhika against their wishes, he would be ridiculed and barred from society. Radhika's love for Dev is unconditional. Radhika is sacrificing herself to protect her husband from abnormal ways of society. Society plays important role on the way things run. Radhika is pure at heart and she wants best for her family. She wants to bestow the honor of her parivaar. She knows she will be always married to Dev. Kanha will lead her right path…..

Let's wait and see……………….

Avinash, Rubina and Rakeshji acting was just mind-blowing. Avinash different choice of voice modulation was just perfect with different facial expressions. He was firm yet low tone when he was stating his dialogue to Dadaji, and then his volume and he became more stern when dadaji was not giving him favorable answers. Rubina was excellent as well. One could feel that sadness in her that she has to give up her love. One could feel her heart break and that feeling of dejection. She showed strong will power when Dev ask her why she does not what to give-up the sindoor, in stern stature she gives him the sindoor in his hand. Rakeshji facial expression and the way he delivered his dialogue were excellent as well. 👏

Avinash was brilliant today as Dev and really helped us to connect with a powerful episode---and the repeating of the vachans was a very emotional moment...Rubina too has been fantastic in last few episodes---silently bearing the pain and every expression of hers spoke to us---to show all these varied emotions, without saying anything--truly deserves an applause...she is an amazing actress...

We are what we think---is so true ... True in Cb world and true in life too...

Tazzi,
Nice post.
Dadaji is the first person who can be addressed here. the reason being nothing close to righteousness or dharm applies to him. His word has to be adhered to, and the minute a finger is pointed at him or questioned he immediately rushes on an alternative rather than address the issue which means he has to support the truth. He does not know dharm or truth. He knows to use others to project himself to be a righteous person. The power of being RP is such that people are yet to come forward to question his decision. Dadaji is a bad example to the society in the name of dharm.
Radhika certainly knows the difference between right and wrong. She broke all society rules to ensure she is closer to Dev and at the same time clear matters about her marriage with Rohan. For her she was married to Dev in her childhood and marrying anyone else is adharm, she knows this holds good for Dev too. She pleaded with Dev to accept her as his wife on the basis of their child marriage which Dev refused on the pretext of it being a child play. But Kanha came to her rescue to ensure that she does not wed Rohan and keeping the sanctity of the child marriage alive.
Today she is forced to leave the house lest the honour and the position of Dev will be brought down in society. Should this happen to Dev because of her she will become a living corpse. The strength of Radhika is in the name of dharm when dadaji ordered her to leave this home she is willing to abide by it, but to contest the decision of dadaji about the second marriage of Dev to Barkha has been left by her to them to decide. Very rightfully both of them declined the decision. all of them are following the path of dharm or righteousness. Radhika is not asking Dev to marry , neither is she telling Barkha to obey dadaji. So she is right. She is willing to go away from Dev, willing to keep their mariage a secret and not let it known to the outer world, but what happens beyond this is in the hands of Dev. I loved the way she gave the sindoor box to Dev and not to Barkha, once again giving him the indication to fight on her behalf. The youngsters do have a great insight on dharm.
Dev has always been honest whether he did his duties as a son, orphan, or a friend. He always kept others feelings much above his. He is polite yet stern. He is respectful but determined. He is kind and willing to reason out with an elderly grandfather who is sick and make him understand his POV. while bringing the subject of why he is punished for no fault of his, he could easily have talked about the wrong doings to his father, but he knows it is such adelicate subject not only for him but Padma too. so chose to keep away from this area. Absolutely amazing he was when he told his grandpa that people will not mind if he gave up RP but God will not leave himif he gave up his dharm patni. He caught dadji with his own teachings of how relationships are made on birth and the only relationship which is significant in one's life is of a husband wife which is supreme and asked his grandpa how he was wrong in trying to seperate them.
Dadaji just needs to think and he will immediately realise that after him the RPti will be well safe-guarded in the hands of the honourable DEv. He has the ability to be a son, grandson, husband and an RP if given that chance by his grandfather.

Thanks. I liked the way creators had used his vachans with flashbacks. Avinash recited those vachans brilliant and the way Rubina reacted was just too good. That's why they're just perfect Radev. "Action speaks louder than words"...One can see that pain in her stature & facial expressions without any words. Both of them truely deserves applause.
