So is it okay to cut parts of animals, making sure that they are not harmed in the large picture, i.e. they do not die?

egg to me is non veg when its organic, processed has no life, but then no egg means no egg why to take chances 😊

^^ I also spoke in terms of micro and macro organisms. Every cell is a living being in its own right. And so killing even a living cell is technically a murder. And coming to fruits or parts of plants, I guess plants too must feel pain when you cut off their leaves or pluck their flowers and fruits - even though they can grow them back. So you are injuring a living being for your own survival. Non-violence, in the strictest sense, cannot be the nature of man or any other animal. When we came to life, we did so by killing a million sperms, every time we breathe or sneeze we kill countless microorganisms and in our body itself cells kill and swallow each other to survive because that's our nature and the nature runs on one law - survival of the fittest. Wittingly or unwittingly, we all have caused death, pain and permanent or temporary injuries to innumerable other living beings and we shall continue to do so till we die.

So its meaningless to profess such unpragmatic ideologies just for the sake of it. Ofcourse one may choose his/her diet as per personal taste and discretion, but it would be highly imprudent to say that one is a vegetarian because he/she doesn't want to kill or injure other beings. I personally prefer a balanced diet comprising sufficient amount of veg and non-veg.😛

How about killing bacterias and germs that reside in the fruits etc? Also, we are killing bacterias as we breathe in and out.
