You are confusing vegetarians and vegans it seems.

Vegetarian = No animals or animal slaughter by products. Ok to consume dairy, yeast, eggs etc.
Vegan = No animals, animal produced, or animal by products. Not ok to consume dairy, yeast, eggs etc.

Some vegetarians do not consume eggs, while some vegetarians group eggs and dairy as one food group and consume it.

Technically, unless the egg is fertilized it is not 'life' and hence is not an animal or an animal slaughter by product. It is just an animal product like dairy. Of course fertilized egg like balut is a big no no to vegetarians as that has a baby chick forming inside.

Don't think this is a debate though. Just a technical clarification.

Egg! Depends on what you believe in..from childhood listen to what your parents and elders have to say! Whatever anyone says isn't gonna make a difference. Its gonna be very hard to change the opinions instilled inside you since childhood. Just let it go. :)

Yes, both milk and egg are definitely Non-veg - at least technically, if not in religious terms. But if a person claims to be Vegetarian/Vegan because he/she feels killing is a sin, then that person is either an idiot or a hypocrite. Every living organism - be it plant or animal, macro or micro - is equally alive (albeit with varying level of consciousness) and hence killing any of them should be equally sinful.

Just because plants don't cry or struggle or bleed profusely, man feels that killing plants is okay and hence almost all man-made religions, self-proclaimed Gods and messengers and their respective texts discount plant killing but prohibit non-vegetarian diet as unchaste and sinful !!!

^^ where do you think vegetarians kill trees? primarily its fruits/vegetables that is consumed by vegetarians not wood or tree itself, defo not always, & hence Jainism doesn't encourage to have veggies like ginger, potato, & other roots.

egg to me is non veg when its organic, processed has no life, but then no egg means no egg why to take chances 😊
