Will Baani's 'kasam' give her a lifetime of sorrows?
Is it possible that Baani, a small town girl from Mount Abu and the central character of Kasamh Se, fall in love with Jai Walia, her archenemy? Will she willingly submit herself to a lifetime of unreciprocated love? Someone had rightly said, "Oh what a web we weave when we try to deceive!" And if Baani's troubles were not enough, Jai's ex flame Roshni is bent on keeping the fire of hatred burning between the two estranged hearts. Try as she might Baani is unable to uncover the deep dark secret of her lawful husband and his awful girlfriend!
Letting her doubts lie low, Baani decides to concentrate on the family front. But here too she is met with roadblocks. She suspects her sister in law Jigyasa's daughter Anu of keeping the wrong kind of company. Being the considerate ally, Baani tries to warn Jigyasa regarding her daughter's misconduct. And as Lady Luck again gives Baani a miss, her concern is misconstrued as interference. All this hurts Baani's sentimentalities and she tries to stop the engagement. A 'deal' in love is unacceptable to her. Saahil refutes the alliance and in a burst of emotion expresses his love for Baani's sister Rano. Restless in love, Rano and Saahil decide to elope than wait for the family's consent.
Relationships cemented with painstaking effort fall on their face like a house of cards. Baani is disillusioned and brought to shame once again, this time by the youngest of sisters. The entire Walia family descends on her for holding their honor at stake. Baani has no option but to hide her face in disgrace. Amidst all this resistance, there is only one man who is by her side. Jai Walia is unable to distance himself from her. He stands by her and tries to convince the family regarding Baani's intentions. Somewhere, and he is unsure of its nadir, he seems to have started harboring softer sentiments for Baani. How can he continue to dislike the one person who is holding his family together? Baani's presence seems to drive Jai crazy. He wants to take care of her, but is worried that he might come across as the one needing the care. All this while Baani is aware of a dull heartache. Is it possible that Jai is feeling possessive and affectionate towards her? Could she dare expect him to respond to her most intimate desires?
