OS update! Part 2
Taani and Anurag reached home in silence. She got out of the car and started walking towards the house. He let her go. He was broken. He could no longer feel his heart beat… his had gone numb, his eyes were shredding tears but he was determined not to break in front of taani.
He followed her. He walked numly nd didn't utter a word fearing his voice would crack any time. Inside, he was already crying, crying because he knew he had lost his life totally. There was no way he could cure that. His eyes filled wid eyes but he never let them flow, but today he now he doubted he could.
They reached their room silently. Taani could feel her harsh pain coming rushing back to her, but this time she couldn't stop herself and cried, cause it hurt. Anu wanted to do something, sumthing that would send her pain away. He hugged her. Which made her feel good, as well as anu was relieved. He cried and broke down bitterly in her arms. They wer e heaven to him. He was scared. Fear was all he could feel. Fear of losing her.
She held him tightly wanting never to let him go. He wanted to get the words out. The words which would almost end his life. Anu wanted the same to happen to him. He wanted to die now. It was all he cud think was, it seemed to be the best way out. And that night he told her the bitter words, which were the worst 3 words he had ever spoken… and somehow he regretted why did he come back? Though it had no means with what had happened to her.
Taani was down with cancer. She was not able to listen anything more. She didn't wanted to know anything more. Everything seemed utterly clear. But she hadn't realized in the past two years that she had dis ugly thing in her. The previous night he had had de words out with utter difficulty and pain. He had hissed the word "cancer" and nothing came out if his mouth the whole night. What he did was just cry, taani and anu spwnt the whole nnight crying in eacg others arms and consoling each other. That wa the best they could do. After all taani knew that it was going to end for her.
Further, taani feared her life, not because it was what she wanted, but because her life was interlinked with that of the others… many. She couldn't them lonely, lonely to cry, to weep to wait for her.she wasn't ready to give up her life for such a stupid thing.. but she had no choice. Last night she was petrified. Hearing what anu said… she couldn't believe it. Bith were weeping and suddenly taani had whispered "anu, stop crying. Its fine. U'll be mine forever. Though-"she wasn't able 2 finish.
The very next day was murderous. (LOL) taani wasn't doing great and anu wasn't ready to go to his office. He was ready to give it up to. He wanted to give himself up for her. Actually, he didn't want a life without her, he wanted to die. "taani, lay down" Anurag ordered. He wanted to laugh. He was doing this for the first time. "anu! I've got better things to do." Taani said, irritated. "taani" he shot at her icily. "anu I'll end up screeching ur hair" she made an innocent face. She mumbled a "Please" but he was not ready to leave her soo easily. "no, u don't understand. Lay down and dare u get up or u noe what I can do!" he almost shouted proudly. She very innocently went to her bed and layed down. She was dying to laugh. "anu?" she wondered loudly. "hmmm" he asked. "what can u do?" she teasingly asked. Anu flashed his perfect teeth sheepishly and both of them burst into laughter. They giggled and laughed for the next half an hour.
They had forgotten the bitterness of their life, but suddenly the words came rushing back. They were painfull, very painful indeed. Anu saw her beautiful yet sad face, the things hurt him, his life hurt him, more than anything in his life. He wanted her for his life, but he knew that was not possible. Taani closed her eyes. She luked pretty as always, but Anurag was always dazzled seeing her. Taani wanted to cry, but not infront of anu. She knew that would hurt him. He came upto her and layed down beside her. A tear came rushing down his eye.
"taani" anu whispered in a cracked tone. She quickly opened her eyes. It made her crack… what she saw. A crying anu and a very heartbroken girl standing at the door who didn't noe what was going on with her mom, but still understood everything. She went unnoticed to anu but taani, she was feeling like slapping herself. Why had she got this crap in her system. Anu saw taani continuously staring at the door and crying, he turned back to see just an innocent joy crying because her mom was hurt. She had already sensed something was wrong.
Anu got up from his bed and went towards the door. He took her in his arms and kissed her tears. She touched her tears, just to sweep his tears away. He took her to his bed and layed her down.
Taani laid her hand on her beautiful daughter protectively and kissed her. "even I want a chance to kiss her" anu teasingly said, annoyed. "okay, mom u here and dad, u dere" little joy said playfully pointing towards her cheeks. Taani and Anurag chuckled. They both went near her cheeks to kiss her and…..
Then what happened one could remember all his life!
