STILL watch Bollywood movies in the THEATRE?!

😃😃😃 Last night, I watched Aarakshan and it was a good movie. But, I wondered to myself, was it worth watching in the theatre? With ticket prices so high these days (just for my mom and me), it was $22 U.S. Dollars. That is damn expensive to watch Aarakshan in the theatre. 😔 We could have just got a $3 DVD and watched it at home. But, it is good to get out and watch a movie for a change. We don't watch Bollywood movies in the THEATRE often. However, do you restrict yourself in only watching the big budget or good films in the THEATRE? Or do you like to watch every movie on the big screen?

Please share your thoughts on this. Is it worth the expense and time to watch in the THEATRE or wait for the DVD?!

well im in canada and on tuesdays movie tickets are half price so only 5 bucks for any movie per person, so i only go watch hindi movies on tuesdays lol. i think its still worth it, sometimes even more than hollywood movies depending on what movie...hindi movies are longer so more bang for your buck, and i'll only go see movies that im really looking forward to. last hindi movie i went to watch was ready, before that patiala house, but gonna go watch bodygaurd, mere brother ki dulhan, mausam, rockstar, ra one, don 2 in theatres for sure...so depends on the movie but still worth it.

Some movies are worth watching in the theatre. I watched Ready in the theatre and I enjoyed the experience more than the film. If I had watched it on dvd or the internet, I would have turned it off 10 minutes into it.šŸ˜† On the other hand, films are LAK etc are better watched on dvd...there is no novelty in watching them in the theatre. I just realized that. Wish I had saved my 10 bucks. šŸ˜†

Yes I do, if the trailer excites me. I don't like watching films at home on a DVD anyways. It is much more better to watch it with a crowd. I mainly go to the theater to watch masala entertainers and Aamir's films. Otherwise, the rest I can watch at home, lolz.

It is absolutely amazing to watch masala films in the theater. You will enjoy the film 10x more.

I would go to watch Don 2 in a movie theater but not Ra.One simply because Don 2 seems more exciting than Ra.One.

The last Hindi movie I watched in a movie theater in India was JTYJN. Don't really remember the experience for that film but I enjoyed the film a lot and it was even before I knew Imran was related to Aamir in any way or that it was an Aamir Khan produced film. I must have been living in my own world when the trailer and promos were going on for that film because only did I go to the theater to see it, that's when I realized it was from Aamir Khan Productions. šŸ˜†

I watched JTYJN simply because the promos fascinated me and the movie looked fresh, ok I think I went off on a tangent, haha.

I actually only like going for entertainment and the serious stuff is not worth watching in the theatre anymore! šŸ˜•šŸ˜•šŸ˜• I was forced to see that crappy Double Dhamaal in the theatre, but watching Mallika doing Jalebibhai was worth the price of admission! 😳😳😳
