Jab We Met is a special film for Kareena Kapoor fans. This film got her out of many flops and won new fans, was a big hit, and her jodi with Shahid was really popular after they broke up. It also brought her many awards and appreciation from the audience and critics alike. However, some feel this movie is overrated. They show this movie every other weekend on Indian channels for the last couple of years and makes you wonder, does it deserve repeat viewing? I liked the film, don't get me wrong. But, I couldn't watch it more than a couple of times. Some feel that Kareena didn't deserve the award and felt the story was mundane, nothing special. What is so special about Jab We Met? Did it deserve the recognition and popularity it received? Please share your thoughts. 😊

I absolutely ADORE this movie. Hahaha it come on every few weeks...and I watch a little bit every time. It certainly deserves all its popularity. The story is great, acting, songs, direction, dialogues..everything is awesome!

BUT SNT is better than JWM and still Imtiaz's best.

It was a nice film not her best performance she's done better in more restrained roles, it was one film where I liked Shahid's performance also, it was subtle they complemented each other well in the film.

regarding kareenas performance, i think shez a very very limited actress but she was perfect as geet bcos it reflected her loud, bubbly, self-obsessed off screen persona. i can see why its close to her fan's heart. 😃

many people became her fan or started to like her after watching this movie so not only her fans others find this movie spacial

I think this movie is majorly overrated! I saw nothing special in it. The usual Kareena overacting but a different Shahid which I liked. I've seen that film like twice and it bored me each time!

Like almost the first whole hour is in the train. Now I know all you fans will say well thats part of the story blah blah blah. But in my opinion I thought it was boring, same place? Hell boring!

Plus I thought Kareena overacted a LOT, like more than any of her other movies (ok maybe not more than Kambakkht Ishq lol) but still I was really annoyed of that lol.

But I loved Shahid's character, Bebo's clothes & of course the songs <3😛

For me, JWM is a good film. Not a bore and it can make you sit throughout the film without getting annoyed or anything like that. But that's about it, its just a good film. I THINK (strictly me!) that it was Imtiaz's direction and the character of Geet which got the movie all this popularity. Of course the Shahid-Kareena jodi is a plus point to the popularity. The story was ok, music was wow, ending for me was 'huh?' That's about it.

For me, SNT is a winner. I know there's no comparison between them except that both are Imtiaz's directed films but there is something about SNT which makes me want to watch the movie everytime it's aired. Which is a pretty rare case, unlike JWM. Also, the repeated JWM airing is now started to annoy me (like KKHH and K3G).

Kareena's outstanding performance n beautiful songs !!!!! 😛 IU dnt like the movie much thoh i loved KK's performance !!!😛 she was talking too much but neva over acted !!😛

Reason 1 - Shahid, i loved his performance his character was mature, composed and serious very different from his earlier roles!!

Reason 2 - Bebo, brilliant. I usually find her acting OTT but she was PERFECT as geet no1 could have done it better.

Reason 3 - Story, may not be completely original but Imtiaz's direction was awesome, It gave a very different feel and look to the movie

I loveee this movie... i wasn't a fan of Shahid.. so didn't wanna watch it.. a friend lent me the dvd months after its release.. it sat on my dresser for weeks.. until i was snowed in and decided to watch it..😆😆 absolutely LOVED it.. in fact, i watched it all night..😆😆😆
