Next morning gulaal came out of the house for the work and saw kesar was standing outside...he was leaning on the car door waiting for her.
She looked him...she stopped for a moment and then started walking slowly away from kesar
Kesar called her fom behind "gulaal chalo mein tumhe hospital chod deta hun"
Gulaal didn't turned back and said "nahi mein auto se chali jaungi"
Kesar replied "aj mumbai band hai...auto nahi milenge...mein chod deta hun"
And then he get inside the car and waited for her
Gulaal stood there for few minutes and then she sat in the car quietly
Both didn't said anything in the car...kesar was in anger and this anger slowly build to a seething frustration and he was driving the car in high speed?though he was driving it very cautiously as gulaal was with him and he kept his eye on the road.
But gulaal was scared...kesar had recently met with an accident so now she was fearful...she hold her breath for few minutes and then said "kesar slow down"
But kesar didn't listened her he still drove hard
Gulaal said again "kesar car dheeme chalao"
Kesar didn't listened intead he put the foot down hard on th accelator and car picked up the speed
Gulaal was frightened she said "kesar yeh kya kar rah ho meine kaha naa speed dheere karu"
Kesar ignored and increased the speed little bit?.
gulaal was nervous and tensed "plz kesar dheeme chalao tumhe chot lag jaayegi
kesar said "kyun?tum bhi to ho car mein.."
and he drove faster but he had full control on the car
gulaal said nervously "mujhe apni parvah nahi hai kesar..tumhari parvah hai..tumhe kuch hogaya to...plz kesar slow down"
kesar looked at her and ease off the accelator and put the brakes and the car stopped
gulaal squeezed her eyes shut and was numbed for a moment
kesar looked at her and said "gulaal hospital aa gaya hai"
gulaal opened her eyes looked around she was in the parking lot..she looked at kesar and then came out of the car
kesar saw her and he came out of the car and said gulaal
gulaal turned back
he said firmly "jab koi kisi k parvah (care) khud se jyaada kare to uuse pyaar kehte hain"
he was so true gulaal was worried about him in the car...yes gulaal cared for him more than she cared for herself
gulaal was speechless kesar went inside the car and left the premises
in the evening gulaal came back home...her collegue had dropped her...as she was in opening the gate of her house she saw a car had stopped infront of her and poonam came out she had come to visit her daughter and son in law
gulaal was extremely happy to see her
gulaal asked "maa aap yanha"
Poonam said" shirdi se aa rahi hun"
gulaal asked "kyu maa"
poonam said "kesar k liye mannat maangi thi... Jab woo theek ho jaayega to shirdi mein Prasad chadaayungi...ab jab thek ho gaya hai to shirdi darshan k liye gayi thi wanhi se aa rahi hun socha seedhe tumhe prasad deti chalu"
gulaal was quite happy...she took her inside...the family member greeted her
then gulaal took her to kesar's room...kesar was taking rest
kesar saw poonam and he stood up and touched her feet
She asked "kesar tumhari tabiyaat kaisi hai"
Kesar said "achi hai mummy"
then she gave him Prasad
they talked gulaal came with snacks and tea
kesar said "mummy apko dekh kar bahoot acha laga"
poonam said "beta koi takleef toh nahi hai"
He then looked at gulaal and said "gulaal k rehte mujhe koi takleef kaise ho sakti hai...woo hai to mein ekdum thek hun"
Poonam looked at gulaal and then said "kesar...jab gulaal humare pass pune mein thi toh usee sirf tumhari chinta thi raat din sirf tumko yaad karti thi
Kesar looked at gulaal and smiled
Gulaal was embarrassed she said "maa?aap"
Poonam replied "kehne de mujhe...humare damad ko bhi to pata chalna chahiye k tera kesarji k bina kitna bura haal tha"
Kesar smiled and said "haan mummy mein janta hun humara rishta hi kuch aisa hai...pyaar mein dooriyan aur nazdeekiyan koi maayne nahi rakhti...door rehti hue bhi man sirf uske pass rehta hai"
He said and looked at gulaal "kyu gulaal aisa hi hota hain na pyaar mein"
Gulaal couldn't say a word and she was shy to meet his eyes so she quietly left the room
Poonam smiled she was quite relived.. now she was convinced about kesar's love that she suspected wen gulaal came to their house for living
After sometime poonam decided to leave
Kesar asked her to stay but she refused as revji was alone in the home
Kesar and gulaal went outside to bid adieu
After she left...kesar looked at gulaal and smiled and then he started walking inside
Gulaal said angrily "yeh subah se kya laga rakha hai...kya prove karna chah rahe ho?"
Kesar looked back and said "kuch proof nahi karna chah raha..bas tumhe humari rishte k sachai batana chahta hun...hum log sirf dost nahi hai aur naa hi majboori mein bandhe hue pati patni hai...sach yeh hai k hum ek dusare se pyaar karte hain"
gulaal said "aisa kuch nahi hai"
kesar said "aisa hi hai gulaal..Gulaal waise to humare pyaar ko kuch sabit (proof) karni k jarurat nahi hai...par shayad tumne pyaar k kuch standards banaye hai..tumhi ne kaha tha naa jab koi kisi k parvah khud se jyaada kare to use pyaar kehte hai door ho ya pass sirf uska khyaal rehta hai aur bhi bahoot saari baatein kahi thi na...mein tumhe bas yahi batana chahta hun k humara pyaar tumhare is kausauti ko paar kar sakta hai balki usese kanhi upar hai...sirf yahi sammjhana chahta hun"
gulaal remembered last night she had said those words to kesar
Gulaal replied in raised voice "bakwaas hai...aur mein kuch nahi manti"
Kesar said "manogi gulaal..tum jarur manogi"
Gulaal replied "nahi kabhi nahi...aur tumhe aisa kyu lagta hai tumhare kehne se mein maan lungi"
Kesar looked at her and said firmly "lagta nahi hai gulaal yakeen hai"
At night kesar came in the dining room and sat for dinner...rewa came there and served him
Kesar asked rewa "gulaal kanha hai"
Rewa said "bhabhi ne to khana kha liya aur sone chali gayi...kah rahi thi tumhe khana khila de"
Kesa looked down..he knew gulaal was avoiding him...he didn't said anything and stood
Rewa asked "kya hua kesar khana kha lo"
Kesar "nahi rewa bhuk nahi hai"
And he walked inside his room hungry
Next morning gulaal was in kitchen she asked rewa " rewa kesar ko khana khila diya tha"
Rewa said "nahi bhabhi kal uska khana khane ka man nahi tha...usne kal kuch bhi nahi khaya"
Gulaal was silent and looked worried
Aftersometime kesar came for the breakfast...gulaal saw him and left the kitchen she was cleaning the living area
Rewa came with the breakfast plate kesar was hurt to see it...he saw her and stood up again
Rewa said "kyu kesar kya baat hai breakfast kyu nahi kar rahe"
Kesar looked at gulaal and then he said painfully "rewa bhuk nahi hai" and he went inside
Gulaal looked at him he quietly went inside
Gulaal was tensed and worried as kesar has not taken food since last night?whole day kesar didn't eat anything
Gulaal send rewa 4 time with food in his room and each time kesar refused polietly
Fifth time rewa came out of kesar room she went in to the kitchen and she was disgusted
She said "bas bhabhi mein ab kesra ko khana dene nahi jaungi"
Gulaal looked at her and said "rewa kesar ne kal se kuch nahi khaya hai"
Rewa said "han bhabhi par ab mein kya karu agar nahi kha raha..yeh ladka ekbaar zid pakad leta hai to bas kisi k nahi sunta...subah se zid kar raha hai khana nahi khana panba ne bhi kaha par nahi maana"
She continued pata nahi kis baat par naaraz hain bata bhi nahi raha
Gulaal was concerned she said "par rewa kesar abhi abhi thek hua...weak hai usko khana time par khana chahiye wo jaldi recover karega"
Rewa said annoyingly "nahi bhabhi ab bhuk lagegi to khud hi aayega khana khane..mein nahi jaungi" and she left the kitchen
Gulaal waited for some more time she looked at the clock it was night..now she was highly concerned...she took the plate and went inside kesar's room
Kesar was working...he was sitting with his laptop...kesar looked at her
Gulaal came near his bed and put the plate on side table and said "khana kha lena kesar"
Kesar looked at the plate and then overlooked
Gulaal turned back and started walking towards the door she turned back and saw kesar didn't touched the food he was on his laptop
Gulaal took a deep breath she came back and took the plate in her hand and sat beside kesar she offered a bite to kesar and kesar instead took a bite and feed her he said "tumne bhi khana nahi khaya haina" gulaal looked at him he was similing he ate and then he took the plate and started eating
Gulaal silently watched him and after sometime she asked soflty "kyu zid kar rahe ho kesar?"
Kesar looked at her and said "yeh saawal to in ankhon se pucho jisme sirf tumhari tasveer basi hui hai...in saanson se pucho jisme tumahri mehek hai...is dil se pucho..jiski har dhadkan sirf tumhara naam leti hai...ab mein kya karu yehi zid kar rahe hain...mera kehna kanha sunte (listen) hain yeh?..
He paused and said "I love u gulaal...I love u so much"
Gulaal could say anything further she just stared him she was drawn into every word he uttered how incredible kesar had made his love to her
She watched him and then stood up and reached the door
Kesar called her "gulaal"
Gulaal looked back
he said earnestly "jab kisi ki choti si choti baat bhi kisi k liye bahoot maayne rakhti ho...jab koi kisi ki choti choti baat k parvah (care) kare to uuse pyaar kehte hain"
gulaal was silent
