about Gandhi to start with, it was about the rift between him and his son...and Richard Attenbourgh's
Gandhi had very little Gandhi/Kasturba interactions in it. There wasn't much of a Gandhi/Kastur love story in either one to adapt from! 😆
In fact it's interesting to note how differently the soap is viewing Mohan's life from that of Gandhi...Mohan returns to India with not even a degree, having spent ALL his money on stuff he wasn't supposed to be spending it on, and coming back an overall douchbag. The real Gandhi had actually married Kasturba in his childhood already and gave his mom a promise that he wouldn't touch wine, women or meat during his stay, a promise he had faithfully kept...and one that made him run all around England in search of English vegetarian restaurants because that's exactly how terrible his landlady's veg food was 🤣
They seem intent on keeping just the basic details of Gandhi's life, but making a completely different story!
