I agree with you on the part where he should have asked Deepz not to drag Piya in between all this because what is her fault if she loves Abhay? She is nowhere involved in all this. He should have atleast argued and asked for an alternative.

But on the other hand, Jeh has lost his brother, but still his intentions were not to hurt Piya and he was not going to do that. I guess he loves Piya because even though she loves Abhay but is Jeh's GF, he doesn't mind her talking all day about Abhay and gets worried seeing her in pain.
