Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif: India's SweetHearts

They may no longer be together but they seem to be inextricably linked in audience hearts.

Salman Khan, on a southern remake spree, and Katrina Kaif, the Hong Kong-born former model with a British passport, are India's sweethearts. Their movies sell tickets, their love lives push prime-time entertainment bulletins and their endorsements keep brands in circulation. And yes, knock-offs of Being Human T-shirts are everywhere.

The cop-out has become a contender. As for APJ Kalam, in a nation looking for Tihar-free role models, the former president is an obvious top choice.
