Abhay's dream sequel

Ever since his debut film Ek Chalis Ki Last Local in 2007, Sanjay Kandhuri put his filmmaking career on hold. But now after four years, the director has decided to make a sequel to his debut film.

A source informed that Kandhuri has recently finalised the script of the film. "Unlike his first, which was shot in Mumbai, the sequel will be shot in Delhi," said the source.

Reportedly, the original film's lead actor, Abhay Deol, has been the most enthusiastic about the sequel, since he has been in favour of it ever since the film released in 2007.

The source added, "It is still unkown if Abhay will be a part of the film, as Kandhuri is still scouting for actors."

When contacted, Kandhuri confirmed, "Yes, it is true that I've just finished scripting my next film, but it's too early to divulge any details about it.

All I can say is that it's going to be a thriller like my first film, but will be shot on a much larger scale with a considerable budget. I haven't sat down to decide who I want to cast in the film."

The original Ek Chalis Ki Last Local also starred Neha Dupia in the lead role.
