Remus Lupin <3
He's super awesome, I adore him and his werewolfness. I'm just sad that Rowling sidelined him after POA, I just wish we got to see him and Harry bonding as uncle and nephew or just seen more of him after POA.
I don't have much to say about Thewlis, he did an okay job I guess (not a fan of HP movies). Although I wish he should have got rid of that riddikulus* 'stache (it weirded me out).
*It's not misspelling just a lame sense of humour, I still find the serious/sirius puns funny.

Remus Lupin is one of my all time favorite characters...I remember when I read his departure part in POA for the first time...It was so emotional..That whole day I couldn't concentrate on anything else...
I agree he was sidelined quite a lot after .POA... But yet we came to discover various aspects of his character... In his 3rd year he had virtually become Harry's guardian...by giving him advice & telling him stories of his parents...& his slight awkwardness about his werewolf identity makes this character even more adorable...
David Thewlis..I really loved his acting...& his potential was tapped really well by the director...

...and then Sirius came and we lost those HP-RL moments. Don't get me wrong I love Sirius as much as Remus but once Sirius came in, it was all about HP-SB.

That was one things I hated about Rowling's writing, just because SB had the name of Godfather shouldn't hav changed things b/w HP-RL, RL was there first as a guardian figure.

Agreed..But I guess that's where the magic of the character Remus Lupin lies..i mean you love to see Sirius as Harry's guardian but at the same time feel Remus should have enjoyed this privilege as well... I guess more than SB it's Lupin's Werewolf identity which came in the way of this as well...I mean he always chose to keep a low profile, standing back, ( although very brave) because of his awkwardness... That's where his magic really lies...the reader himself / herself longs to have more of him in the book...That's quite an achievement for any character... Isn't it???????????
