Alina Khurana : Story of a caged princess.
Okay, I felt bad for Dipz for the first time ever since she entered – the cries and tragic wails of a mother who knows her son is not coming back are always heart wrenching. Remember what Haseena went through when Abhay was sleeping under a slab of ice until Jeh came to town to release him. The pathos of a mother is one of the worst feelings that a human-being suffers or sees. I felt bad for Jeh and Neil because they paid the price of their mother's life with the life of their brother who will never come back now. For the first time, I liked Neel as he did his best to control Alina and control the whole situation. Without Jeh to guide him and Alina falling into lapses of weakness and time running out, Neel took a decision and I like this Neel so much better than the cheap womanizer who is obsessed with Pancchi.
But at the end of the episode , today , the person who stayed on my mind inspite of the tragedy of the Khuranas and the intense fight of AbhIya was ALINA. Alina, her suffocated tragic life , the hatred that she suffers , the compartmentalized love of her brothers even though they are crazy about her , her imprisoned dark life and above all – her emotional loneliness.
We don't know the backstory and we don't have any flash forwards on Alina but looking at today's episode as a standalone , you can't help but wonder what is Alina's value as a person at all? Does anyone even care whether she lives or dies? It was a disturbing sight to see the way she was being dragged around , forced inspite of her weakness , being emotionally blackmailed and psychologically strained by Neel to get Dipz back to life.
It was mentally straining to see Dipz hurl so much hatred and venom at Alina. I don't blame Dipz because now her whole purpose of coming to Dehradun is gone . But what about that poor girl Alina? She did what her brothers asked her to do – she was literally tortured on a psychological and emotional level to bring that mother back to life who hates the very sight of her. Jeh and Neel were consoling Dips, alright but Alina needed that hug and those comforting words.
I mean, I don't want to blame her family as it was a tragic hour but Alina's state was so distressing. I don't know if the creatives thought about it or not but a healer/witch goes through immense physical and mental pain when they try to resurrect somebody back to life. They centralize all their energy and the summon the spirits in the atmosphere to resurrect the spirit of the dead person ( that is why they mouth the chants of resurrection that usually come from the Book Of The Dead). Healers themselves reach death beds trying to resurrect someone. So, on that level, one can only imagine what a person in Alina's place would have gone through. And you can never risk a weak supernatural to use their powers – if they are mortal , they die.
You can imagine what Alina has been through and what hell she has lived that she actually bartered her freedom with Jeh in exchange for Dipz' life. Its almost like she is a powercenter who is struggling to be released and let her wings spread.
I don't know how good or bad Alina is , but seldom have you seen lonelier people than her on this show. A mother , two brothers , a famous surname, a palace to live in ……but all alone and locked away in a marble tower.
Looking at her last frame before AbhIya came in , it seemed as though , someday she is going to fly away , breaking all the chains. Alina needs to be released and if nobody else does it for her , the princess with a peaches and cream complexion , big defiant eyes , honey brown hair and that wisdom of an owl sitting on her nose will jump out of the window of her marble tower.
One day , she will be free…….
P.S- Creatives are working hard on Alina's story and her character and the results are showing. Priya Chauhan deserves a round of applause. What a spark of talent. IT WAS HER EPISODE ALL THE WAY and EVERYONE paled in front of her.
P.P.S- For a change , Piya took out Abhay's band, baaja, baraat by doing nothing but giving his attitude back to him and stating that one fact that hurts both of them.Abhay went after Piya demanding a sorry because he doesn't want to live with the hurt that Piya thinks of him as a killer. Of course, he wasn't pleading but DEMANDING an apology. And after all the superficial quarrel , Piya hit Abhay where it hurts the most – by throwing it in his face that how is she supposed to trust a man who can't trust himself, hides from himself and refuses to open his arms to his true love. Hmm. VINTAGE AbhIya.
PRECAP- More than the magic that they always weave , when you look at their faces in the precap , you don't think about their chemistry or the romance – you only realize how tragically unhappy they are without each-other. Sigh!
Love and luck always,❤️
GOD bless everyone. 🤗
