I hope Geet just gets better. Because this suicide attempts are just gettting on to my nerves. Sorry! Nothing againt you as a writer. I always love to see strong women rather than weak spinless women.. I hope thie geet becomes strong in due course.😕

Thanks for the in depth analysis of the story. here it is just that Geet is very depressed. she can't see anyone's pain except for her own. A depressed person tends to be very selfish at times and many of them take recourse to suicide since they thinks that by ending their life they will be able to end their pain. the pain of those people who love them then do not count. such is the case with Geet too at the moment.

But don't worry as the story progress you will be able to view a different aspect of Geet. i will make sure that maan brings out the best out of her.

Maan: So I'm on trial.

Rishab: I'm sorry Maan. You have to bear all this because of me. I never thought that it will turn like this. I know you heard everything that transpired inside, but still I will ask you not to lose hope as I am sure that something good will come out of it.

Maan: But how uncle?

Rishab: Don't lose hope Maan. You are being given 3 months. Make optimal use of these 3 months. This period will be the most important and toughest period of your life. You will have to make Geet fall in love with you within 3 months.

Maan: I don't think so uncle. Geet will never love me whatever comes.

Rishab: I see a ray of hope in you Maan that will eliminate the darkness in Geet's life. I know you will be good for you and on the other hand if Geet's starts loving you, you will be the luckiest man on earth. Geet is someone who spreads love and happiness wherever she goes.

Maan: But how will I do it? I don't know anything about her. I maybe married to her but we are still virtually strangers. I assume that she does not even know how Maan Singh Khurana looks like.

Rishab: Then its your job to get her acquainted with yourself. You have to break her stubbornness to see past you. I have known Geet from childhood and I know how determined and willful she can be. If she set her heart to something then it is very difficult to delusion her. You have to make her see your love so that she can return it even if you have to be hard to her in the beginning. In other words you should get her related to everything that matter to you. I know it is a very difficult task but not impossible. When Geet will realize the depth of your love, she will surely develop some feelings for you and then from there you have to turn those feelings into love. I will help you as far as I can but the tough job will still be yours Maan. Just have trust in yourself and in your love, the rest god will see to it.

Maan gave to smile to Rishab.

Rishab: Why are you smiling?

Maan; I am thinking about the fact that Maan Singh Khurana is afraid for the first time in his life and that too for his love. I never thought I would fall in love but I did. I never thought that I will be able to attain Geet but I did and I never thought that I would lose her as soon as I get her but I did.

Rishab: Don't lose hope Maan and you have not lost Geet, she is still yours for the taking, just that the path to reach her is a bit difficult. But there is no fun in acquiring something when the path is too easy young man.

"Yes sir," Maan said joining in the fun that Rishab was trying to create to lift up his mood.

The next morning as per the instructions of Rishab, Maan went to pick up Geet fro m the hospital all alone. He was very apprehensive of facing Geet and was angry at the fact that he was feeling like a schoolboy on his first date. "god shit" Maan muttered, " I was more confident on my first date than I am today. I never felt like this"

He entered the hospital room in which Geet was after knocking. Geet was standing by the window looking outside. She was still in the hospital robe and oblivious of her atmosphere. She turned when Maan knocked against the side table of the bed while gathering her medicines.

Geet: Who are you and what are you doing here?

Maan: I'''''.actually''''''..you'''''''me''''''..

Geet: What??

Maan: I'''..

Geet: Will you say something or should I get the security to get you out of here.

"This girl really has a temper" thought Maan, but why am I being afraid of her. I must remember what Rishab uncle told me. I can't let Geet intimidate me or else she will use her power over me to make me do things that I don't want to do.

Maan: I am Maan Singh Khurana and I am here to take you home- Maan said with a voice imposing his authority.

Geet reclined on hearing the name. She took in the handsome face, seeing the arrogant cheekbones outlining his face, the firm lips, and the beautiful mesmerizing eyes. Geet thought to herself on how she failed to recognize the guy. He had been the only person on her mind since last night when she had promised to give this new alliance a chance. She needs to get some ground rules set and for that she need to talk to the guy and keep him sugar coated so that he agrees to whatever she says.

Geet: I am sorry, I did not recognize you. Never mind I wanted to talk to you since last night- Geet said sweetly.

"Why is she talking so nicely with me, I am sure she must have some ulterior motive. Better hear her out before coming to a conclusion" thought Maan

Geet: I want to get it over with before mum and dad comes to fetch me. Actually I have promised dad that I will give our marriage a chance but I want you to tell dad that you have realize that you made a very big mistake by marrying me and now you want out. Please can you do it for me? You must have realize by now that living together as a couple will not be bliss for either of us, so its better if we both part ways here itself.

Maan: Ok

Geet: So you agree''''.

Maan: I did not say I agree

Geet: But you said ok

Maan: I said ok because I listened to what you had to say and not because I agreed to what you say.

Geet: I did not quite follow you, what are you trying to say?

Maan: Just that I listened to what you had to say and now its over and we get to head back home.

Geet face lost its pallor on hearing Maan's words. She could not believe that Maan singh Khurana dismissed her just like that as if she was one of the junior employees in his office.

"I am waiting for mum and dad to come" she weakly said.

Maan: They are not coming

Geet: What?

Maan: You heard'''.they are not coming

Geet: How can it be so? I am getting discharged and they did not seen it fit to come and fetch me

Maan: They did not feel the need as they knew that I would be coming and that you would be perfectly safe with me.

"Listen now here Mr Maan Singh Khurana just because''''."

"Yes, Mrs. Khurana, I am listening"

"Now you, damn god irritating man, I don't want to go anywhere with you"

"Well you have no option because Rishab uncle is expecting you to live with me and it's totally natural since you are my legally wedded wife"

"Damn you to hell. I may not have any option now but rest assured that at the end of these 3 months I fully intent to give you a divorce"

"What will you do if I decide not to divorce you?"

Without saying anything Geet marched out of the room leaving Maan to deal with her things. She was getting irritated as Maan had an answer for every damn thing in the world. Tackling him was proving to be very tough. After some time Maan came out and led Geet to his car where he put the car he was carrying on the back seat and opened the passenger door for Geet to proceed. Seeing Geet had to wish to enter the car, Maan pushed her in and buckled the seat belts and gave her a look that said "move an inch and I won't be held responsible for my actions." They were soon on the way to Khurana mansion. Maan stole a glance at Geet and saw that she was frowning. "stop that or else you will get wrinkles before time"

"Why do you care?"

"I do care"

Those three words looked like they had great meaning. Geet looked at Maan while he said that and his face expressions convinced Geet that he truly cared but she could not let herself be emotionally attached to him because they had no future together. Her life was with Rahul or simply Rahul's memories whilst his life should be with the one who can love him truly without any bondages. Geet shrugged her thoughts and sarcastically said "well you have no right to care"

"Why so, can't a husband care for his wife"

"We are not husband and wife"

"So how would you describe the ceremony that we went through"

"It was just for my family's sake that I did it and I never thought I would be alive after having drank that poison"

"So why don't you look as if you have had a new life and begin with starting afresh with new relationships"

"Are we playing 20 questions here"

Saying that Geet turned to look out to the countryside. Maan took in the clenched fists on her lap and the shadowy eyes. She was tough but also very emotionally attached with her memories. Breaking through her will be difficult but not impossible and I'll will be needing every minute of these 3 months to convince her that we may have a life together. He was willing to go to any length to be able to make the way till Geet's heart.

They reached the mansion and Maan moved to Geet side to help her from the car. Geet ignored Maan outstretched hand and step out. Maan then collected Geet things and proceeded towards the door where they were welcomed by the family butler Tony who has been working there well before Maan was born.

Maan: Hi Tony. This is Geet, my wife.

Tony: Hello chote baba, welcome Geet madam

Geet: Huh

Tony took the bags from Maan whereas Maan stayed there watching Geet take in her new place where she was going to spend the rest of her life

Maan: Come I'll show you to your room and after you have rested a bit, I'll give you the tour of the house. This mansion was built by my grandfather and contains about''''..

Geet: I'm not interested in you, your house or anything else related to you and as far as your tour is concerned, you can shoved it in your pockets. I don't intend living here for long that I may need to know every hook and nook.

"And there are about 22 rooms. But never mind you will see the house later on" Maan continued as if Geet never spoke. "As it is you think that you will be staying here for 3 months until I get you rid of your misconceptions."

Geet: what misconceptions?

Maan: come, I'll take you to the bedroom

Geet: I asked you something. You did not answer me- Geet prompted

Maan: Oh that! Don't worry yourself about it

Geet: Can't you give me an straight answer damn it.

Maan: Temper! Temper! If you are not too tired, I can think of other things to make you spent so much of energy, that too in the bedroom. What say? By the way you look more beautiful when you are angry.

As a conversation stopper, it gained full marks and left Geet gasping to what she heard Maan said. She could not believe the cheek of the Maan. They are fighting as if they have been married for some years and look at Maan, he seems to be taking me for granted. I'll just have to show him that I am my own master, I don't run my life according to someone else wish.
