You are a stylish woman. What was your input in this look?
I play a rich, overpowering business woman inPyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani. The team explained that I need to have a certain grace and a particular dialect for the role. I was finalized for the role just a few hours before I began shooting. I gave some suggestions towards my look - like the kurtis that I wear and the make-up. The diamond rings were suggested by the creative team, so overall, the look is a team work.
What you have planned for the Raichands?
I hate the Raichands to the core, and want to kill them. I have a plan to kill Haseena when she is most vulnerable, and I will implement it very soon.
What do you feel about the budding friendship between Jeh and Piya?
I can see the love in Jeh's eyes. He was so concerned about Piya after the accident, and he took so much care of her. The thing I am worried about most is that we are not human beings who can experience emotions like love, and Jeh is forgetting that.
What was your goal in getting Neel and Panchi engaged?
The Dobriyals are well known in Dehradun. I will become more influential after getting associated with them. This way, I will be able to get my work done easily and gain influential support in Dehradun.
What do you think of Panchi?
I don't really care about Panchi or anyone else. My only aim is to gain power and prestige.
What do you feel about Abhay?
I know Abhay is more powerful than his parents, Haseena and Chand. So, yes, I am a little worried about him. However, I have my plans in place to tackle him. I am waiting for the right time to attack Abhay.
What kind of reactions have you been receiving for your role?
I did not know that the show was such a big hit. Whenever I go to malls or anywhere else, youngsters recognize me as Deepanita. Of course, they don't like me much because Abhay is the hero and they hate anyone who is against him. I am ok with it.
What do you like about Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani?
Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani is not a typical daily soap; the show is classy and upmarket. It is not a typical saas-bahu serial, and is more like international shows. Apart from the vampires and werewolves, the show is very close to reality.
How is the experience of working with the Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani team?
The whole team is very friendly, and working with them is so much fun. Suyash (Neel) and Rithwick (Jeh) are good musicians, and they entertain us. I also get along well with Vahbbiz, Vivian, and Kishwer. Even Priya, who has just joined the team, is very sweet. There is hardly any age difference between all of us, so they don't treat us like parents off-screen. We are all good friends.
