The rise of male centric shows

Television has changed over time and so has the role of the leading men in the shows. They are no longer supporting the leading ladies but have become strong characters with many male centric shows on air currently. Even the audiences have accepted this new trend on television and love the rise of men on tv. Here are a few leading men of television who elbowed out the women centric shows and made a permanent place for themselves.

Ronit Roy in Adaalat

After playing the loving and caring husbands -Mihir and Bajaj, Ronit Roy accepted the one man show Adaalat on Sony in the role of a powerful and smart defence lawyer K. D. Pathak. In the show, all stories involve him as he solves them with tact and intelligence. Ronit has been appreciated for the role with the show doing well so much that Sony now airs it bi-weekly from a weekly slot over the weekend. Ronit easily runs the show and at times steals the limelight from popular celebs doing cameo in the show too. His intense acting and charismatic personality jells well for this character.

So true. In every episode he has managed to stay in the limelight even with cameos from great celebs. The only episode I can remember where a cameo role was bigger than Ronit sir himself was Aditya sir in the episode Abhijeet in Jail and even then it was a touch call to choose between the two charismatic personalities. I remember watching that episode twice: once for Ronit sir and then once for Aditya sir.
