Next day yogesh came in modi house

Panba and kesar were in drawing area kesar saw yogesh and called him in

Kesar said "yogesh bha acha hua aap aa gaye kuch business k details discuss karni thi yanhi discuss kar lenge"

Yogesh said "kesar hum business k baat office mein kar lenge…mujhe kuch aur baat karni thi"

Kesar and panba were curious

Panba asked "kya baat karni thi yogesh"

Yogesh hesistated and said "panba aap mujhe aur meri family ko to jaanti hain"

Panba said "haan bahut achi tarah se tum to mere bete jaise ho"

Yogesh said "panba mujhe rewa pasand hai….aur mein usese shaadi karna chahta hun…agar aapko koi aitraaz nahi ho to"

Kesar and panba were surprised

Gulaal and rewa heard the conversation they came out of the kitchen

Kesar and panba looked at rewa she was shy she looked at ground

Gulaal sat besides panba and said panba "yogesh ji bahoot ache insaan hein….rewa ka bahoot khayal rakhenge….."

Panba smiled and said "mujhe pata hai yogesh bahut acha hai..yogesh mujhe yeh rishta manjoor hai….par kya tumahre mummy papa ko bhi yeah rishta manjoor hai"

Yogesh said "ji panba meine kal apne mummy papa se baat ki thi unhe rewa shuru se pasand hai…wo kal hi delhi se yanha aa jayenge aur aapse baat kar lenge"

Panba said cheerfully "yeh to bahoot achi baat hai…mein tumhare mummy papa se baat karungi"

Kesar was also delighted to hear it….he hugged yogesh and said "yogesh bha mein bahoot khush ho…meri behen ko aapse acha jeevansaathi nahi mil sakta"

Yogesh sit there for a while and then took a leave

After yogesh left everyone was very happy and exited

Panba exclaimed "mawari k daya se sab acha ho raha hai rewa k liye itna acha rishta aaya hai..mein bahoot khush ho"

Rewa blushed and went inside the kitchen…gulaal was in the kitchen

Rewa hugged gulaal and said "thanks gulaal bhabhi aapne kaha yogesh se isliye wo yanha aa paaye thank u"

Gulaal hugged her back and said "mein bahoot khush hun tumhare liye"

Kesar heard the conversation he complaint "acha gulaal tumhe pehle se hi malum tha to mujhe kyu nahi bataya"

Rewa said to him "kyu batau tujhe jaise tu mujhe sab batata hai"

Kesar said "shukr kar mera double decker k meine tere shopping bills yogeshbha ko nahi dikhaye nahi to aisa bhagte k kabhi waapas nahi aate"

Rewa said "kesar"

Kesar smiled and said with wet eyes "rewa..par tu chod kar chali jaayegi to kisse jhagda karunga"

Rewa was also in tears..

Kesar put his hand on her head and said"bahoot khush hun tere liye rewa"

And then kesar and rewa hugged each other…gulaal looked at them with wet eyes it was the moment of joy and sadness

Next day to yogesh and his parent arrived and panba gulaal and kesar greeted them….yogesh parent were happy with this relation and they give their consent…panba called pundit and after three days engagement was planned

Gulaal and kesar took the responsibily on their shoulder to make arrangement fot the engagement party….kesar and gulaal started the preparation….kesar wanted to do everything in grand manner…so he hired best DJ caterer and event planner in mumbai

Panba called talsagra and shared this news with everyone…daiba was extremely happy to hear it….and she decided to attend the function

Meanwhile kesar was preparing for the party….panba called him

Panba said "kesar"

Kesar asked "ji panba aapne bulaya"

Panba said "kesar rewa k liye meine humare purane jeweller ko gahne k order diya tha unka phone aaya hai jaake gehne pick karlo"

Kesar said "theek hai panba mein abhi gehne lekar aa jata hun"

And he left and reached the shop and said to his jeweller "mein gehne lene aaya hun….panba se aapki phone par baat hui thi"

Jeweller said "haan kyu nahi jewellery taayyar hai" and he handed him the jewellery

And then he said "arey kesarji gehne se yaad aaya jab aap yanha aye hai to gulaal bhabhi ka necklace bhi le jaeeye "

Kesar asked "necklace kaun sa necklace"

Jeweller replied "wahi necklace jo unhone humare pass giravi (mortgage) rakha hua hai."

Kesar was shocked he asked "yeh aap kya kah rahe hai…kab rakha tha"

Jeweller said "yahi koi 3-4 mahine pehle poore 6 lac mein giravi rakha tha….unhone kaha kuch jaruri kaam ha"

Kesar was shocked

Jeweller continued "gulaal bhabhi bahoot dukhi thi jab unhone yeh zaver rakha tha….mere dimaag se yeh baat bilkul nikal gayi thi nahi to panba se kah deta…ab aap aa gaye hai to kya mein aapko de dun"

Kesar was puzzled he said "haan mujhe de dijyeye" and the jeweller handed him the jewellery

He looked at the necklace and remembered vasant had gifted her the necklace infact gulaal had wore that necklace quite often…he had noticed her; she was quite attached to this necklace

Kesar looked at the necklace and wondered "gulaal ko 6 lac k jarurat kaise pad gaayi" and then he just remembered 4 months ago gulaal had submitted his annual college fees worth 6 lacs

Kesar said to himself "kanhi meri fees to nahi….par gulaal ne to kaha tha vasantbha k paise se fees bhari hai"

He kept gulaal necklace with himself and gave rewa's jewellery to panba and went to his office he searched vasant investment files he looked at with a shock and said to himself "aisa kaise ho sakta hai"

He then called his bank manager

Kesar said "sir mein kesar modi……..mujhe aapse kuch baat karni thi"

Manager replied "haan kehiye kesarji kya puchana hai "

Kesar asked "mujhe janana tha k vasant modi ka koi bank account operative hai"

Manager looked the details and replied "nahi vasantji k saare bank account seal ho gaye thee"

Then kesar asked "gulaal aur vasant modi ka joint account"

Manager said "haan woo bhi sealed hai"

Kesar was shocked to hear it he took a pause and said "sir can I personally request u to give me details about gulaal modi's personal account….muhe kuch kaam hai isliye mein yeh janana chahta hun k kya koi big amount kabhi bhi vasant modi k account se wanha tranfer hua hai?"

Manager checked the details and said "nahi kesarji aisa koi transaction nahi hua infact mrs gulaal modi k account mein sirf unki salary hi credit hoti hai that's it"

Kesar thanked him and ended the call….kesar was speechless…….he trembled and sunk into the chair he rested his elbow on the knee and put his hand upon his hand…all the memory of the past flashed on his mind….he remebered she had said to him that vasant had left some money to her and those money was utlised for homerun……now he knew it was a lie, now he knew gulaal sacrificed her happiness her life for his family; for 'him'…..his heart was filled with strange feeling of awe and reverence….kesar always respected gulaal but now the feeling escalated into deep respect and graitude for her…even he couldn't calculate the amount of respect she gained at this moment…he sat all day thinking about her

At night he came home gulaal was waiting for him

Kesar quietly walked in his room gulaal called him back "kesar"

Kesar looked back Gulaal said "kesar tumne caterer ko khane k list de di hai"

Kesar looked at her and noded his head

He then carefully looked at her in dim light with his moist eyes….her inner glory was gently reflecting on her face…..his eyes were filled with gratitude and respect that he could ever had for any other person

Gulaal looked at him and asked "kya hua kesar"

Kesar in his chocked voice said "kuch nahi…kabhi kabhi kuch log bhagwaan se bhi badhkar ho jaate hain" and he couldn't say any further and quietly went in his room

In his room kesar took out gulaal pics and broke down infront of it.

He was in tears….he looked at the pics and said "tum itni achi kyu ho gulaal…tum itne din tak apne saare ansoo chipati rahi aur chupchap Is ghar ko khushiyaan dete rehi…tumhe apni khushi apni zindagi is ghar liye kurbaan kar di gulaal…kyu tum itne achi ho………mein tumhare saath khade hone k layak bhi nahi ho…kaise tumahre saath chalunga……yeh ehsaan mein kaise chukaaunga…kuch nahi de sakta tumhe" and he was chocked…..he was in deep pain

After sometime he regained himself and then he held his pics in his hand and stood long time gazing her pics without speaking…the longer he gazed her image the more he felt her……he touched the pics.and traced down her smile with his fingertip…he said soflty" tumahri muskaan bahoot pyaari hai gulaal, mein inhe tumhare hoothon (lips) se kabhi dur jaane nahi dunga"….

He looked determined he hold the pics close to his heart and slept.

Next day all family member were busy in arrangements for rewa's engagement…and the door bell rang and gulaal opened the door she saw diaba standing infront of her….gulaal was exited she touched her feet and called her in…

Everyone greeted diaba…rewa came and diaba hugged her and gave her blessing….then panba took daiba to her room…..panba and diaba discussed about yogesh and rewa engagement

In the afternoon gulaal was arranging flower diaba was sitting there…she was quietly watching gulaal…gulaal was happy..

Diaba came near and said to gulaal "tumhe khush dekhkar bahut acha lag raha hai…..peechle baar aayi thi to ekdum yeh chehra ekdum feeka tha ab dekho yeh chehra…kitna khila hua hai….acha lag raha hai k tum aur kesar ek saath aage badh rahe ho"

Gulaal look down and said in low voice "diaba hum sirf dost hai"

Diaba looked at her and said affectionately "yeh to bahoot achi baat hai gulaal aksar pati patni dost nahi ban paate….par agar pati aur patni apna rishta dosti se shuru kare to woo rishta bahut majboot hota hai"

And she left gulaal just looked at her and then at kesar….she was blank at the moment…

While everyone wa preparing for the function kesar eyes were fixed on gulaal he kept staring her without a word….

All of sudden talli came in the room and said "look what have I found"and she showed the caromboard to kesar and rewa

It was the old carombaord…kesar rewa and vasant use to play carom in their childhood

Kesar and rewa looked at it fondly rewa said "yeh kanha mil gaya"

Talli replied "store room k safai kar rahi thi mil gaya…chalo ek game ho jaaye"

Kesar said "nahi bahoot kaam hai baad mein khelenge"

Rewa said "kesar khelte haina waise bhi saara kaam ho gaya hai"

Talli said "haan khelte hai"

Kesar said to talli "tujhe mujhse haarne mein bahoot mazaa aata haina"

Talli said "dekhte hai kaun haarega"

Rewa said par hum to sirf teen hai…..foruth kaun hoga…kesar looked at gulaal and told rewa to ask gulaal for the game

Rewa smiled and said to gulaal "gulaal chalo carom khele"

Gulaal looked at the board and said "nahi mein nahi tum log khelo"

Kesar looked at her and playfully said "kyun haarne se daar lagta hai doctor"

Gulaal looked at him and said "haarege tum"

Kesar throwed the challege on her and said "oh really…mein kabhi nahi haarta"

Gulaal replied back "thek hai agar mein jeet gayi to jo mein chaho wo karna hoga"

Kesar looked into her eyes and said "aur agar mein jeet gaya to jo mein chaho woo"

Gulaal looked at him and accepted the challenge

Kesar then said to rewa "chal rewa aaj in dono billi ko batate hain hum kya cheez hain"

And gulaal kesar rewa and talli sat for the caromboard game….rewa and kesar; talli and gulaal were partners…and the game started gulaal was good player and she leaded the game….soon she pockted the queen and placed the striker to take the cover…she placed the striker and looked at kesar….there was slight disappointment in his eyes to lose the game…..gulaal looked him carefully….was it that she could see him disappointed or was it that she wanted to know kesar's wish…. What he wanted her to do?…..she thought and she lost the cover delibrately….kesar looked at it and his eyes sparkled he quickly pocketed the queen and covered it….and won the game….

Rewa and kesar exclaimed in joy….they were extremely happy talli was disappointed and gulaal was smiling quielty….she got what she wanted….she just looked at him with a content smile

Kesar was in joyous mood he looked into gulaal's eyes and said "haar gaayi gulaal ab"

Gulaal smiled and looked back at him and said soflty "ab jo to tum chaho"

And she paused and asked in low voice "kya karna hoga mujhe"

Kesar didn't said anything he just looked at her with intense affection and deep desire…..gulaal looked at him with fondness yet there was something there in his honest eyes that made her blush…

Kesar just smiled and left the room..before leaving he glanced her back..and she kept wondering what is his wish?
