Being Super Star Krishna's son, Mahesh entered into films as a child actor with Krishna's Needa and has done several films. He later debuted as a hero in the year 1999 with Rajakumarudu in the direction of K.Raghavendra Rao. Later, Mahesh has delivered several blockbuster hits including Murari, Okkadu, Arjun, Athadu, Pokiri etc. He has also tried out distinct films like Takkari Donga and Naani in the early stages of his career. He has bagged six Nandi awards and a couple of filmfare awards. He is now planning to bounce back with Srinu Vytla's Dookudu this year, which is releasing with good expectations.
