This morning i was listening to this song and the lirycs really reminded me of dev's story...his inner struglles...pain for not having his mother him...for beeing abandoned with the thought he will be ok...but fate didnt made it that way...he missed many things in his life as a kid ...he missed his childhood...Childhood is the base for the long journey to become a man...matured and responsible...he did achieved it but not with his mother help and support...as the song says, dev would ask: Have you seen my childhood? I am searching for the world that i come from...Dev did thought about his origines...he got the answer ...but still didnt see his mother pic...again,a detail that cv forgot...Cause i've been looking around in the lost and found of my hert...no one understands me He did stood alone on that window sill, analisying his situation, his feelings...when he asked daima about his mom he wasnt understood...so he remained quite...the pain is still there smwhere...Then padma came...with her insecurities and questions if he will let her for his mom...his answer would have been this Before you judge me ,try hard to love me But will padma or any of us would be able to answer this Look within your heart then ask, have you seen my childhood?

Indeed, Myra, no one can know fear, anxiety, loneliness, insecurity, that he felt Dev in childhood, even adoptive family. Radhika only that she was an adopted child, raised in poverty, and admonished bothered, sad and having just hope in God.They did not know the full pleasure of a word of encouragement, the mother's gentle comfort, the stories told by the mother's voice linen to sleep. This song has beautiful lyrics, express exactly unrequited feelings of two lovers.

Well, childhood is marked by a special person that is a mother, his search for her is for the child within him...therefore my statement about about his lost childhood...

Very well said,Myra.Without a Mother's love a child is insecure, lonely & afraid to thread the path alone. There's one more song from the movie " Taare Zameen Par " which is called "Maa ".It has beautiful lyrics. Whenever I listen to that song I feel like crying.
