Geet came to work the next day and blushed just thinking about sitting next to Maan all day at work. Last night was the best night of her life. Their first date was nothing like what she imagined but one of the best she had. She will never forget that night. She touched the pendant that he gave her last night. She hadn't taken it off since then. She goes to her usual sitting area in the marketing department and looked around for Maan. He wasn't there..."Where is he? He is usually here before me. What happened? Should I call him and find out? No what if he is sleeping? Haye Rabba sleeping at this time doesn't he know his dhust dhanav boss. If he finds out then he would be fired and I don't know what I would do if he gets fired from here. But should I call him? I don't know what I will say...I keep thinking about last night and I know that no voice will come out of my mouth...but I don't want him to get fired either...what should I do...hmm I will call him if I want him to stay..Geet be a sher...at home you roar like a lioness why can't you do the same with Maan?...be brave and call him already..." (she picks up the phone to dial his number. After looking at the phone for couple of minute she finally got enough courage to hit the dial number. She heard ringing of the his phone on the other side..but before she could say or do anything. Pinky came out of no where scaring her. Geet quickly turned off the phone and looked at Pinky.

Pinky: Is Maan sir here yet?

Geet: No why?

Pinky (sighs in relief): Thank god..I wanted to talk to you that is why

Geet: Why are you so scared? You could talk to me in front of him as well

Pinky ("yeah right so that I can get killed not once but multiple times with his death glare..no thanks"): No I cant. Anyway don't you know who he is?

Geet: Yeah I know he is Maan. He works here

Pinky: No Geet. Maan sir

Geet: Why are you calling him Maan sir?

Pinky: That is what I am trying to tell you...Maan sir is actually...

Maan: I am what Pinky? (She gulped and turned around to look at Maan standing there with his arms crossed over his chest looking at her with anger..."good thing I came here on time or else I don't know what Pinky would've said...Last night I couldn't tell her the truth but today I will have to tell her who I really am")

Pinky: woh main (she ran out of there while Geet stood there confused.)

Geet: what happened to her?

Maan: I don't know. (He comes close to her and kisses her on her cheek when no one was looking..Geet blushes and turns around to leave for a bathroom...her heart was beating fast...she leaned against the bathroom door smiling to herself. "yeh kya ho raha hai mujhe..Why does he always have to do things that make me so shy. ugh I hate him for that..and now I won't be able to do any work instead I will be thinking of this...maybe I should stay here for couple of minutes to gather my thoughts and enough courage to go outside again."

Meanwhile, Maan was outside waiting for Geet to come "Why isn't she coming out? Maybe she needs time to get used to his..did I go to fast for her? Last night she was ok..good job Maan...you scared the poor girl..I should go to Adi and see what he says about this..." As he was walking toward his cabin, people stood up and said morning sir. Maan nodes his head as he makes his way to his cabin. Inside the cabin he saw Adi eating. Maan checks his watch "it is 10 am and he is eating right now?" He marches up to Adi and looks at him

Adi: What?

Maan: What are you doing eating in my cabin?

Adi: I was hungry so I ordered some food for myself under your expense

Maan: What? Why couldn't you pay?

Adi: Well Maan considering I am helping you..at least you can do is buy me breakfast

Maan (roles his eyes): whatever..listen I don't know how to tell her the truth

Maan: No..I was going to last night but umm I got distracted (he sits on the sofa)

Adi: Distracted? with what?

Maan: You know distracted (he winks at him)

Adi: ohhh so you umm can do that but um you can't tell the truth

Maan; I told you my mind goes blank when she is in front of me..I can't help it and you know she was about to find the truth out today because of Pinky

Adi: Pinky?

Maan: yeah if I handn't come there on time then I don't know what would've happend. I need to do something about her

Adi: What are you going to do with Pinky? and she is not as bad as you say she is. She is very nice

Maan; Why are you so defending her? (it hits him) Wait don't tell me you..you like her?

Adi (scratches his head) Maybe...I don't know I am still in process of talking to her but I do know one thing I won't be as slow as you in asking a person out. Anyway, you have a meeeting lined up today with Mr.Chopra at 1.

Maan; 1? ohh yeah I have to finalize the final plans. Ok (he calls Sasha in to go over everything for the meeting..after she leaves) Adi ok I have to go and oversea some things for work "now what should i tell Geet? I have to be in the meeting with Mr. Chopra."

Adi: what about Geet?

Maan: I will tell her the truth today.

Adi: You better or else if she finds the truth from someone then everything you worked for will be ruined.

Maan: Yeah yeah I got it. Anyway I got to go. (He leaves from the cabin, outside everyone stood up once again to greet him. Sasha stops Maan before he could go into the accounting department. She hands him some files that needs to be signed. As he was about to finish signing Pinky comes calling him maan sir.)

Maan: Why didn't you tell me before about this?

Pinky: Sorry sir I forgot.

Maan: You forgot? ohh so you forgot to tell me that Mr. Chopra is coming in half hour instead of 1. You know how huge it is for us to get this project? If I had missed this meeting then we could've lost the account. (she keeps her head down) Atleast tell me you have everything ready for the meeting? All the copies and documents that we are going to present ready?

Pinky:Woh sir (He gives her a death glare again. Poor Pinky was in verge of crying)

Maan: I want EVERYTHING ready in 20 minutes or less if you want to keep your job. Understood?

Pinky: Yes sir..(she quickly leaves to get everything ready. He shakes his head in disapproaval and turns around to find Geet standing there shocked. )

Maan: woh Geet (she puts her hand up)

Geet: What were you doing? and why were you acting so mean like that boss of yours?

Maan: woh umm I wasn't...I was explaing to her nicely and umm she doesn't understand anything unless someone yells at her. She is so used to getting yelled at for every assignment that now she doesn't do anything right unless she gets a yelling or two from someone. Since umm sir is busy right now and she needed a yelling so I yelled at her so that she doesn't get yelled at later on by her boss. So in a way I umm helped her by yelling at her

Geet (confused): What? She was about to cry.

Maan: Exactly (he puts his arm around her shoulder) that is my point. She almost has to cry in order to do her work right. Listen Geet you wouldn't understand.

Geet: Ok but why was everyone calling you Maan sir?

Maan: Because I work in the accounting department as the head so therefore they call me sir. You know as a sign of respect.

Geet: ohh but

Maan: Listen we have important meeting in half hour so it is important for me to be there.

Geet: Oh why?

Maan: because i am the head of the accounting depatment so we are going to be discussing the financial aspect of the project.

Geet: but

Maan (puts his finger on her lips...) Sshh Geet no more questions. We will meet after the meeting. Lets go...(he holds her hand and leads her back to their department. She looks down and quietly follows Maan..)

Maan looks at the time during the meeting,it has only been 10 minutes since the meeting started and it already feel like 1 hour. He wanted to be with Geet. Everytime he closed his eyes all he saw was Geet. He smiled. Everyone looks at him weirdly. He opens his eyes to find everyone staring at him. He clears his throat and tried to pay attention to the meeting. "What is taking so long. I have to tell her the truth today or else she is going to be pissed off and this Chopra why does he have to ask so many questions? It is all in the paper just look at it and study the damn papers. I can't even make up any excuse to leave this meeting either." He kept moving around his seat just thinking about how to tell her the truth.

Mr.Chopra: So Mr. Khurana it looks like we have a deal. I am very happy with this meeting

Maan: Well thank you so much Mr. Chopra. I hope you are satisfied with all the points mentioned in this meeting?

Mr.Chopra: yeah I am. We will talk on the phone once this project is started. We will defentialy keep in touch.

Maan (stands up to shake his hand): Sure Mr. Chopra no problem. (Mr. Chopra shakes his hand and stands up as well. Maan leads him out.)

Mr.Chopra: Mr.Khurana if you don't mind I would like to discuss sometihng with you over cup of a coffee. It is nothing to worry about just a small request.

Maan (checks his watch..and looks around to see if Geet is anywhere in sight..) umm sure Mr. Chopra. Let's go to my cubical and discuss the matter there. (Maan leads him to his cubical, few minutes after a coffee was set on the table..) So tell me Mr. Chopra how can I help you?

Mr.Chopra: During meeting I came up with an idea but I don't know if you will agree or not knowing how strict you are with being professional.

Maan: You don't have to worry about that at all. Please tell me how I can help you.

Mr.Chopra: Thank you Mr.Khurana that makes me feel whole a lot better. Well I was thinking since this is such a big project and a lot of people from my company and as well as your company will be working together until the completion of this project.

Maan; Hmm mmm

Mr.Chopra: I thought it will be better if we organize a party where all the staff that will be involved in this project are present. It will be a great way for everyone to familiarize with each other and as well as get to know each other personally so in the future everyone will be confrotable working with each other.

Maan (puts down his coffee mug and stands up. Mr. Chopra looks at him with worry): Well Mr.Chopra I couldn't think of a brillant idea. I like it. The party will be on my behalf, please don't say no. We will inform you of the time and date of the party as well as its location.

Mr. Chopra: Thank you Mr.Khurana. I got worried for a minute. (Maan smiles) Now lets enjoy the rest of the coffee. (The whole meeting took about an hour discussing all the party details. Maan looked at his watch and realized it was past lunch. He rushes out of his cabin in search of Geet. He searches her everywhere but couldn't find her. He decided to check one last place before he calls the police station informing a missing person. He goes to the terrace to find her standing there looking at the sky. He goes toward her and puts his hand on her shoulder..

Maan: Geet what are you doing here? I was looking all over for you.

Geet: ohh just enjoying the view. What? Why were you looking for me?

Maan ("i think I should tell her right now. The time is perfect. I just hope she doesn't get made at me or leave me. I don't know how I would survive without her now. She is my everything my life my love...") umm because I have to tell you something...(he turns around unable to face her) There is something I have hidden from you and I think it is important for you to know what.

Geet: What that you are Maan Singh Khurana MD of this company?

Maan: The truth is I am (her words register in his head..he was shocked..he turns around slowly and faces her. He sees her standing with her arms folded over his chest.) What did you say?

Geet: Yahi ki tum is company ke MD ho.

Maan: Geet I wanted to tell you

Geet (raises her hand to stop him in the middle...) Save it. (She begins walking around him) Did you actually think that I would not search about the company before going for an interview? To tell you the truth, when I first saw your name and picture on the website as the MD at first, I was shocked, then mad, then happy. (Maan looks confused...) Shocked to see your picture as the MD of Khurana Constructions, you know I had to refresh the page couple of times before I was convinced what I saw was an acutal reality. Mad that YOU hid this big truth from me and never bothered to tell me the whole truth.

Maan: And happy because?

Geet (stands in front of him. Maan pays attention to her hands and moves back a little fearing she might slap him any minute. She raises her hands and puts her arms around his neck..she smiles) And happy because MD of Khurana Constructions, who has all the luxeary he ever wanted, who gets whatever he wants at the snap of a finger would actually go through so much trouble and become a vallet parker just to talk to me. Happy that I got such a wonderful person in my life who would do half the things that no one would ever do and truely loves me without caring about my status in the society or about my family.

Maan: So you know the whole time who I was and you didn't tell me about it?

Geet: Yeah...I acutally found it quiet amusing but there was something you could've done something better. (he looks at her) Next time pick a better person to imitate you. (she laughs)

Maan: So all the curses that were meant for the boss

Geet: I wanted to see your reaction.

Maan (takes out her arms that were around him...): So you played with me all this time when all I ever wanted to do was keep you happy. While I was pretending to be a vallet parker, taking the buses with you, working as an accountant in MY own company, you were having good time teasing me and making fun of me? You know how I felt when I wanted to tell you the truth but was scared to tell you the truth fearing that you might leave me. I would've been a vallet parker my whole life for YOU and for your love but you made fun of it. I Maan Singh Khurana who never told a lie in his whole entire life, told so many lies just for you and your love. (He turns around)

Geet (has tears in her eyes): Maan am sorry I just wanted to

Maan: Wanted to what Geet? huh? What? (he looks at her from his shoulder)

Geet: I don't know I just wanted to teach you a lesson for not telling me the truth but that doesn't mean I don't love you.

Maan: Well you really did teach me a lesson. Thanks. (he turns to leave..)

Geet: Maan don't leave me. I love you. Please am sorry for whatever I said. (She looks down crying. Then she felt Maan touching her under her chin slowly rising her face to meet his eyes. He wipes her tears)

Maan: What do you think? Only you can act? (he smiles...Geet laughs through her tears and playfully punches him on his chest. He holds her hands and hugs her..) No more lies.

Geet: Promise?

Maan: On my life. (Both hug each other tightly)

He stood with his client smiling slightly looking at the door everyone now and then. Although, his body was physically presented at the party before all the people but his mind and his heart wasn't. he looked at his watch again and again. She was a hour late for the party. It has been a week ever since their true confessions at the terrace. Ever since then both grew more stronger and inseperable. He resumed his position as the MD of Khurana Constructions before Adi could bankrupt him, not that he did anything useful at all. He had a small task to pretend to be him even then he sucked at but Maan couldn't have been happier to get a friend like him whom he can trust and confine in. If there is one thing that came good out of this whole charade for Adi was that he got Pinky. Pinky and Adi were now officially a pair. Maan made Adi quit his vallet parking job and hired him as his right hand person. He had one condition though, Pinky had to be his secretary. Maan smiled when Adi spent the whole day shadowing Maan in order to convince him to let Pinky work under him when Maan refused.

Geet still worked in the accounting department. Of course even though she was offically his girlfriend that doesn't mean she doesn't have to work hard in order to work her way up within the company. Everything seems all right doesn't it? Life couldn't been any better right? Well you are wrong! There were still small hurrdles called family. Maan still had yet to inform his Dadima, although he knew that she would never refuse Geet or even deny her, Maan was still scared of her reaction and also becuase currently his "sweet" Dadima is busy doing some random havans every other weekend. She would randomly come up to him and pray in front of him holding agarbati while saying prayers under her breath. Whenever he would want to speak to her about Geet, she would do something crazy or something so random that he would forget what he was going to say in the first place.

The second hurddle was, Geet's over-possisive, over-bearing LITTLE brother. Did I say little? Yeah little brother who acted like her big brother. Like come on so what you are like 2 minutes apart? Truth be told, even if you were 5 minues apart or hour apart you would still be considered a little brother. Ohh how Maan wanted to go in front of him and punch him on the face but he controled himself because of Geet. She hadn't told her brother nor her family of him. She is scared not of her parents but because of her BROTHER. So they both still have to decide on what to do and how to ask each other's respective family or convince them.

'Where is she? The party has started and she has not shown up yet." He goes to the bar and sits there. All the light goes off Maan couldn't care less since his heart wasn't here. He slowly turned toward the door when he felt some tingle and life come back inside him and his breath caught inside his mouth. There she was in white saree looking like an angle. He got up automatically and held out his hand. She smiled and puts her hand on top of his his. Music starts playing in the background as he leads her to the dance floor. Kurbaan hua plays in the background. Maan whipsers in her ears:

"You are late by 60 minutes. You know what I went through?" (he slowly carassed her back and pushed her all the way to him so there is no gap between them...)

"Sorry I was having difficutly sneaking out.." (She puts her arms around him) by the way what are we going to do about our families? (Maan dips her and kisses her at the halllow of her neck before pulling her up)

"something..." (he smiles)

"What do you mean?" She kisses him on his neck.

"Stop that..you are making it very diffucult for me.." (she chuckles) "where was I ohh yea..." (he twirls her around...and makes her slam on his chest) "I mean you and I are going to do talk to them by this weekend..and (he puts his hand on her waist and dance) and if your khadus brother and my to-be-salla (she hits him on his face) does not agree then..."

"Then?"

"Then...we get married and they will have no other option.." (he smiles..)

"You know what you are hopeless" (he kisses her softly on her lips)

"yeah hopelessly in love with you.." (he kisses her fully on the lips...)
