part 29

She looked bit convinced Maan immediately ordered it..
Geet ' ek min.. I don't want that cherry
Maan smiled shaking his head.

When the ice cream came she took the whole bowl for herself. & then looked at Maan.
Aap kuch nahi kha rahen
he was expecting to share..definitely didn't see that question coming. Especially with 3 scoops of ice-scream & brownie. ..give me break that is heavy. But then that was Geet Handa.. she couldn't have shared. Least did he know the way she was brought up. Jhoota nahi karna types.
He ordered a coffee for himself.

He tilted his head at her choice of ice cream, uff yeh nakhre..was he falling...he could just do anything to be with her to see her happy.. to see that smile in her face..his eyes admired her lovingly & she just shrugged, stinking her tongue out cutely. He laughed softly. She used her spoon & swiped the top of the whipped cream swirl. He smiled as she licked the ice cream off. She kept waiting.. just licking the cream bit. Though the excitement & anxiousness to gobble it up was evident in her face.

Maan - What are you doing?
he asked in a joking manner still concerned , she blushed softly.
Geet - Waiting for you to get your coffee
Maan ' u don't have to be formal with me
Geet ' thats not manners
he wondered where did she learn her manners from.. queen Elizabeth..
Maan ' aacha teehk hain, he just took her spoon & ate a bite..aab teehk hain na..ka loo
Geet ' yeh kya kiya aapne..woh mera jhota tha
Maan ' kyun main tumhara jhuta nahi kha sakta?
That was way too intimate for her. She probably doesn't even remember eating kisi ka jhuta. she looked really uncomfortable. He was shocked to see she didn't continue to have from the same spoon. She actually took another one. & it all came so naturally to her like she was a princess. She was never causal, her casual self itself was very sophisticated.

he just watched as she ate the ice-scream, she was excited, restless.. still she ate it so sweetly. Enjoying every bit, every spoon. He couldn't take his eyes off her face, how her eyes closed in bliss..the smile touched her face... Sometimes the way her lips went around the spoon. She looked at him & immediately dipped her head not able to see the desire in those eyes. She blushed..her hands left the spoon on the bowl. He looked away. She was still wiping the corner of the lip. He smiled ..embarrassed a bit being caught alluring.

They both became silent & looked here & there. He didn't like that odd situation. He thought of thousand things to say & started to talk abt his new inestor.

Maan ' this guy is really nice. Thoda strict types hain business dealings main..lekin very family oriented hain. I am kind of wanting ki he paused ..anni ki shaadi ussen ..then he sighed
Geet looked at him, why was he so apprehensive
he inhaled sharply ' actually he belongs to a royal family.
Geet wondered if he was talking abt Arjun Rathode whom anni liked. Wow that would be perfect.
Maan ' they r really well off. Like at least 100 times us
Geet ' humari anni bhi kuch kam thodi hain
Maan ' nahi Geet, he is now doing business with us & then talking abt rishta & all will be so odd.
Geet ' umm
if only she could go in front of arjun, she could convince him in a min.
Maan ' he is like a dream guy.. like all brothers would want for his sister. Its not his financial status..him as a person.
Geet smiled.
Maan suddenly looked at her bowl ' tumne abhi taak khatam nahi kiya
she made cute sleepy face ' mera ho gaya.. my tummy is full
he could just gobble her down.
He paid for the check & drove back home.

Next day in the evening the whole Mansion was in hush bhush.. arranging for the special tea party. Daadi was really excited when she heard Maan's view on Brij. She told anni to dress up nicely. Her friends were over thrilled.

Geet was not aware of this evening plan as she got up late after their sweet night out. Even Maan had told Daadi not to disturb her. She was taken by a shock when she saw the flees of cars with her family flags .. coming into the mansion portico. Her eyes popped out & she immediately hid behind the curtains of her room. Humari ghadi..nahi..nahi..
she panicked ..she knotted her duppata.. she walked up & down the room. Veerji..her breath became uneven just thinking his name. Did he find out I am here.. wat will he say if he sees me..will he shout at me.. woh, Daadi..maan..ko kuch kahen tho.. nahi ,,nahi.. asien nahi ho sakta

Maan came into the room ..geet Geet
she shouted in her confused tensed state ' yah sab kya hain?
Maan looked at her in shock ..then thought for a min ' oh !! this is the same guy Brij handa..
she missed a beat
Maan ' I told u for anni
Geet immediately ' nahi..yeh nahi ho sakta
Maan didn't like her saying nahi without even seeing him
Geet ' aap asien kaisen kar sakten hain. U didn't even tell me once u met veerji..
Maan corrected ' vreji nahi brij ji..but why ji?
tum janthi bhi ho kitne khandani log hain
Geet ' mujhe nahi pata yeh rishta nahi hosakta. He is not anni's type
Maan turned her in a jerk ' u just want to disagree to wat ever I say
she just turned her face in angry not approving of his grip on her arm.
He calmed himself - geet tum na ussen milli ho,
u don't know anything abt him..
how can u just say
she didn't let him complete ' main ne kaha na ..nahi tho nahi
Maan couldn't believe she was being so adamant.
Maan ' ek bar mil tho lo
Geet ' mujhe nahi milna..though her heart cried to see him, talk to him ask him abt mama. She just closed her eyes tight..nahi. She was so scared abt his reaction. How will brij react if he sees her, will he ever be able to forgive her for being the reason for dad's death.

Maan was wild.. yet he couldn't have gone against her wish.. thats wat bothered him the most. However right he felt deep within..but if she said no..even if it seemed baseless..he couldn't have gone against her. He hit the rim of the bed in anger.

Daadi came to call him. He straighten himself & left from there in anger.
Daadi ' inhen kya huwa
Geet looked down.
Daadi ' Geet beta plz kitchen main ja ke snack sab check karlo
Geet ' ji main kaisen
Daadi patted her back & smiled
Geet went to the kitchen & paced restlessly. Her heart just wanted to go & speak to her veerji.
Just then anni & her frds came in giggling.

Nakul ' mam coffee ban gayen hain
Geet ' nahi nakul woh tho chai peyenge. Rukho main banthi hoon unki fave tea
anni's friends ' tumhe kuch pata bhi hain yah ayen wi bolthi rahthi ho
anni glared at her friend & pleaded sorry to Geet
Geet ignored & continued to make the tea
ann's friends ' common yaar.. he is brought up in London... he won't be having all this. waisen bhi yanha aaken ussen kuch khane ko nahi mila hoga,

Geet rolled her eyes.. she only knows how much her veerji loves Indian food.
She prepared the special tea with ginger & spices he likes.. the way she always makes for him.
She didn't pour the tea in the cup. She put it in the kettle.
Anni ' cup main kyun nahi dal rahin?
Geet ' unhe aacha nahi lagega
friends taunted ' I think u forgot to add sugar.
Geet looked at nakul..he placed the sugar bowl.
Friends rolled their eyes.
Anni ' bhabhi aap bhi challo na
Geet wanted to but she was scared
anni's friend ' challo tum bhi dehklo, assen nazara zindigai main sab ko naseeb nahi hota.
Geet shook her head
one of the friend ' bandar kya jane adrak ka swad..
they giggled among themselves..how would she know wat she is missing
Geet wondered how would they know wat she is missing.

Maan introduced Daadi to brij
Brij immediately bow down & took her blessing. Daadi was definitely impressed so were her friends as they watched from far. Nakul served the tea & snack. Maans eyes looked around curiously for her. She didn't come ..kitni zidi hian.. he murmured.
Brij was impressed ..it was exactly the way he liked..
nakul offered to make his tea.. brij..raised his hand &.. said.thanks.. indicating him to stop
brij poured his tea & added sugar...he always preferred it that way
Maan took his coffee..he was getting really restless. ..her not approving of brij was pinching him.
Daadi ' aap ke family main kaun kaun hain
brij ' mama aur meri choti behen
his voiced almost chocked when he said bhehen.
He kept the cup down & looked away. He was really disturbed.
Daadi continued to talk indirectly abt his plans..his wedding ..dropping hint abt anni & his relation. He immediately want to say a no.. thats when he took the first sip of his tea. He smiled..geet..he said in delight
Maan looked at him in shock.. with a slight pinch of jealousy though.

Brij immediately rose up ' aapka kitchen kanha hian
Daadi pointed towards left
Maan ' kya baat hain brij do u need something
brij just walked towards the kitchen.. he looked at her from behind.. he smiled with teary..eyes.. typical her to look up & complain to babaji..
Geet was murmuring.. babaji..puren duiyen main Maan ko veerji hi milten business karne ke liyen
he slowly tapped he shoulder ..she missed her beat..she knew that was veerji.. she turned & shedding tears..pagli.. he kissed her head & held her tight in his embrace.
