Mahen refuses to marry. Kaaveri asks him why is he talking rubbish when the marriage was planned with his permission. He just doesn't want to marry her. Dadaji & Dadi try to rationalise with him, but he is distressed. Angad steps in & questions him. He says but she is your best friend, then y don't u want to marry her? Mahen says bcoz Laxmi is characterless.Everyone is stunned by his allegation. Kaaveri screams at him for daring to say all this. She says what was the need to say yes to this marriage if he wanted to insult Laxmi in her marriage venue. Mahen says this is not a lie, he repeats Laxmi is characterless. Kaaveri slaps him. Kailash loses his control.He starts blaming the Purohits. He goes to Kaaveri, Dadaji & Dadi individually & taunts them for spoiling his daughter's life. Kaaveri goes to Laxmi & asks her what was Mahen saying. Kailash still continues his rant, that Mahen was lying, whats the need to ask Laxmi anything. Kaaveri doesn't give up & asks Laxmi whether what Mahen said was true. Laxmi doesn't respond. Kailash goes on & on & on… Angad tries to pacify him. Kailash says how can I be cool? After divorce there was this hope that she will get married some day or the other. But now not even an oldie with kids will marry her…& the society is not going to leave her in peace if she stays at home.Angad says they will look for a suitable groom but Kailash says that you are the reason for her being called characterless, & u r talking about finding a suitable groom? Angad says that he believes that Laxmi is not characterless, then Kailash says then will you marry her? Everyone is shocked.Angad turns & looks at Laxmi. Shobna is at home, Tej is there too. She is talking to Nisha & her parents. Shobna fills them up with Mahen's marriage with Laxmi. Vijay comes & is worried. On asking he says apart from regular work related worries, he just wants Mahen's marriage to happen properly. They show Angad putting the mangalsutra around Laxmi's neck.
Shobna tells Vijay that when she went to Shalini's house, her intentions were different, but on seeing Nisha she decided that she is worthy of being their DIL. They show AnXmi exchanging garlands.
Shobna is telling Vijay that Nisha & family will suit their family's status & there couldn't be a better wife for Angad. There, the pandit asks AnXmi to start the pheras.
Shobna says that there will be no groom like Angad. Shalini agrees. Nisha smiles. Shalini wishes Angad agrees to this alliance. Shobna is confident that Angad will not refuse & Tej says consider think this alliance fixed. There the pandit announces that the rituals are complete & AnXmi are now officially a couple.
Precap: Someone knocks at the Purohit mansion door & Shobna is all happy & says must be Angad. She tells Nisha & her parents that they will give Angad a big surprise! (wait bacchu…tere upar pahunchne ka intezaam kiya hai tere bte ne!!) She opens the door & is shocked to see Angad & Laxmi holding hands & with garlands around their necks.
