But I am glad they got back on the right track!😊

Personally, I still think they have not handled this issue properly. I mean J fell out with A after going to the city, so it can give out the impression that perhaps DS was right that the boy would get our hands once sent so far away from the family! And that perhaps everything would have been alright, if he had not been sent to Mumbai!

The way Lal Singh is living happily with his wife, in spite of being exposed to a city life, makes it seem as if Jagya-Anandi-Gauri issue has got more to do with Jagya's upbringing and his being spoilt rotten, rather than child marriage being the main culprit!😲

Secondly, Gauri being impatient and not being able to ''win over'' the family or not being able to be the conventionally ideal bahu or wife gives out the message that an educated and independent girl can't be a suitable beendni...she lacks tolerance and would boss around her husband, answer back in-laws and argue with elders!

I am no fan of Gauri, but I feel really bad that her character was butchered! I hate it how educated and independent women always have to be shown in a negative light!

I personally feel they've handled this issue with kid gloves. Otherwise in real life, girls as young as little Anandi are married off to men as old as even Mahavir Singh!🤢

And 14 year old boys and girls become parents of two kids! Naive ones are not mature themselves and end up having responsibilities of a full family!😡

I understand such stuff can't be shown in a prime time serial...😕 Reality is far worse...

But still at times I feel sad that they showed one successful and problem-free child marriage (Lal Singh's) and ended up reinforcing stereotypes (like educated girls not being ideal beendni material!).

I don't think Jagya-Gauri marriage can send the right message. No way! It would absolve Jagya of all wrongs he has intentionally done till date! The best thing would be if Jagya ends up as a dhobi ka doggy and both girls leave him!😃

I want Jagya to suffer and pay for each lie he told and how he played with people's emotions - be it his family's or his friends'!😡

I would love it if both A and G chase him with sticks and stones the way Tiger Woods' wife chased him out of the house with a golf club! 😆 It will be a lesson for all men who try to use women and even twist laws and customs to have their own way!

Currently, loving BV for showing the correct laws and for making each character reflect on his/her actions and repent for their wrong-doings! Very progressive of them to show such supportive in-laws like Sumitra and Bhairon! Hope they stay right on track.😊👏

see u cant handle all the issue in one serial and with one pair. may be thru Lal singh they wanted to convey tht u sd not forget ur root and not be shame for ur past. with other pair like Anandi and her friend they showed the bad effect of BV. although its also not necessary tht to show its bad effect its necessary tht one sd be seperated, but they continiously showing tht child marriage stopped embition and other bad effects. serial is not a educational documentary, they show some situation and its up to viewer draw the conclusion. if some people inspired by the villaine of the show, thn u cant blame CVs for it. Showing Gouri so hyper, may convey tht for being practical not necessary being educated and educated person can also do mistake. so its up to individual how to see and take the message.

Hmm...I understand and agree with what you say. Maybe they wanted to show all sides of the situation and left the viewers to judge for themselves...

I agree with the reasoning you gave about Gauri, but in context of general representation of educated and working women in serials and films, I think they've reinforced the stereotype of the independent woman being full of ego!

Some of us can understand her hyper reactions thinking that her childhood trauma is also a cause of it, but the viewers at large will think that educated woman is unsuitable and usually defies qualities of an adarsh bharatiya nari!😕

Though your point is perfectly right that an educated and overtly modern woman may not be 100% superior in all respects.

Still this show is going much better than some other so-called issue-based shows on this channel and other channels! For that very reason it deserves all respect and appreciation.😊
