A real divorce requires separation period of one year. It is not instant. And Jagat has no more lockets to sell to make the one year period disappear. Unless he steals kundatai's earrings or something. 😆

According to Indian law, he has NO grounds to file for divorce; his ONLY bet is if he asked Anandi to file for divorce under the grounds of adultery.

Divorce in America is groundless, you don't HAVE to claim anything specific like desertion or adultery, you can cite incompatibility (it's called a no fault divorce, I am a law student in the USA) and be done with your ex (though each state in the USA has different rules for how long it takes for it to be final).

But since countries like America have "no fault" divorce, the divorce rate is over 50%.

Jagya is eating his cake and keeping it too; he is extremely manipulative and completely untrustworthy.

I don't get Gauri's character. Is she an NRI that she doesn't understand what this will do to her? She's a village girl as well, she knows in what contempt a second woman is held, why is she even talking to Jagya? She should just tell him, get a divorce and then come to me, I don't want to see your face till then. How he gets the divorce, if he can get it, is his problem.

Any woman who marries Jagya automatically loses her sense of sound judgement!😆
