Did G lie? She told her relative was sick...in a way, Dadisa was her relative too 😉 So what, her relationship is not legal, 😕 but JG got married in temple nah! 😉 So by dharm, she is his wife. In Hindu shastra, a man can get married more than once - there were many hindu kings who had more than one wife and it was perfectly okay. Even in Ramayana and Mahabharata, there are examples of men marrying twice or thrice.
On a more practical note, can G leave J so easily?
G did not leave him after catching him red-handed, G did not care to consult lawyer about legality of marriage, G did not even question J when she found that J is lying to her after marriage.
She has landed herself in this soup and she can't just run away from J without facing consequence IMO.
If she dumps him, where will J go? Whatever G has seen, it is clear that J won't be accepted in the family so easily. Even if he is accepted how will J feel? After knowing the bullet incident of Anandi, when G wanted to leave the house alone, J stopped her and got emotional before her.
Whatever J is doing, most probably it's more out of his ego to prove himself right rather than his love for G. If he would loved her deeply, then he would not have lied to her , not at least now. Or may be it's not lack of love for G but it's his cowardice. J is a coward - a coward who is always afraid to face the backlash of society, parents or Gauri,
Whatever might be the case, J did not dump her even at the prospect of being disowned by parents or did not dump her after seeing G's hysteria. He had got chances several times, specially Sumitra gave him good chance to go back.
If G dumps him now, it will be her selfishness. There will be no difference b/w J and G in cowardice and selfishness. J cannot go back easily and he will be emotionally shattered.
G can't just dump him like a dirt now after forgiving for his lies of 5 years and accepting him in her life. She has somehow become his accomplice. She now has to give time to J to get proper divorce. Only if they see, that there is no chance to get a proper divorce, she can leave J.Though J should ideally file divorce now, it might not be possible for two to pay the lawyers. 😆
The best thing for JG is to stay separately, be friends and support each other financially and emotionally. G get help from her bade papa and may be from her parents. So, if she really loves J, she can just extend her hand to help J financially. In MS, students get stipend and by giving tutions, they can earn hefty amount. Also, J, if he has an iorta of self respect, should stop taking money from Anandi.
Then after completing studies, J can file for divorce. Divorce can happen mutually or else on different other grounds. If divorce could only be granted on the basis of adultery or domestic violence, we would not be seeing so many divorcees right now. Proving adultery or violence is really tough in court. People do get divorce on several grounds. Getting mutual divorce won't be a problem for J as A would be ready to free him; may be his family will be an obstacle.
J and G might have to wait 4-5 years to get all these things done. If and only if J does not have any chance to get divorce, G can move on. Yes, G would be a "other woman" as of now, but she has to give J some time to get divorce specially when the man has faced so much humiliation and curse from everyone for having relationship with her. G already knew that socially, she will be always called "second wife" of J even though she was not ready to accept it.
But million dollar question is - are these two doctors are ready to struggle?
