Why is everyone saying Shyam is Khushi related

Okay I am not sure why is everyone saying hat Khushi and him are related to each other.

I though that Khushi's parents died and her mother was Payal's moms sister? Am i mistaken

I though that is what was said the very first episode?

Thats because in an SBS segment the reporter said that Shyam is khushi's brother but nothing is confirmed. Everyone is confused.
