Hrithik Roshan played the fatboy slim in Karan Johar's Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham. And ten years later, they came together for Agneepath.
The film is still being shot, and the two friends have already decided to join hands for their third project. The film, a thriller, will take off as soon as Hrithik finishes shooting for his father Rakesh Roshan's Krissh sequel.
In fact, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has already appointed a group of special writers to start work on the subject.
This will be the first time Dharma will be producing a film on the genre. Apart from Kaal, the John Abrahamand Vivek Oberoi starrer, Dharma Productions has never venture into the realm of thrillers.
A source revealed, "The Hrithik Roshan starrer thriller will be directed either by Agneepath director Karan Malhotra, or it will be someone entirely fresh. KJo's usual favourites, Punit Malhotra, Ayaan Mukerji or Rensil D'Silva will not be directing the project."
According to another source, "Hrithik, Malhotra and Johar share a very warm relationship. They got along very well throughout the making of Agneepath. While doing the film, they came up with an idea which soon translated into something that could be put on celluloid."
Said a source, "History has it that more complex the role, the better Hrithik gets. Agneepath is definitely not an easy role to play, but Hrithik has done full justice to it. Naturally, Karan Johar is also very happy with Hrithik's performance."
The KJo-Hrithik bond, which has strengthened more in the recent past , seems to be growing stronger with every passing day. In a recent interview, Hrithik even mentioned that he wanted KJo to be a part of his promotional event for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara since he finds his company fun-filled.
Karan had also mentioned his dream to recreate K3G with the original starcast, which includes Hrithik. However, the thriller that has been chalked out is all set to go on the floors as soon as Hrithik wraps up his Krissh shoot scheduled to begin in November this year.
